Today, I am here to share my views about Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow High Octane, which is a vibrant pink-purple metallic shade. Bobbi Brown recently launched its luxe eyeshadows. It’s a permanent range but contains a few limited edition shades too. High octane is a permanent shade and here’s everything you need to know about it.

How to Use:
Sweep or smudge across eyelid for instant impact, and layer shades and textures to create a range of standout looks. To intensify, dampen brush before picking up shadow. Try combining wet and dry application for added dimension, just allow wet shadow to dry before adding another layer.
My Experience with Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow High Octane:
This is my first eyeshadow from Bobbi Brown. I was very excited and eagerly waiting for its delivery. I started taking pictures as soon as I received it. I was eyeing this shade ever since it was launched on the Bobbi Brown website. High Octane is an iridescent vibrant pink-purple metallic shade. Bobbi Brown has launched two varieties of purple in the luxe range.
I selected High Octane for it is a permanent shade and I personally prefer purple shades which have a pink hue. Luxe eyeshadow comes packaged in a golden and black coloured small square compact; it has an inbuilt mirror too. It has a round shape and an inner plastic lid for extra safety. There is a protruding portion on the front side of the compact, which needs to be pressed to open the compact.
The compact closes firmly and is definitely travel-friendly. This luxurious compact comes packaged in a black coloured cardboard box. As mentioned above, Bobbi Brown has launched luxe shades in three finishes. High Octane belongs to rich metal, which delivers a high molten foil effect. It is an iridescent purple with pink-purple shimmers and a copper hue.
This shade is intensely pigmented, applies smoothly and evenly. It has a smooth textured hybrid formula, which delivers a velvety, bouncy texture that glides on and blends easily. The shade is buildable and you can easily achieve the desired effect. It can be applied wet or dry to get the desired effect. This shade swatches better and gives a high metallic impact and a lustrous finish when applied with a damp brush.
It can be applied all over the lid as a mono shadow. It can also be applied with other shades from this range to create a smokey eyes effect. I first apply this shade dry and then build the intensity by reapplying using a damp brush. However, this shade is intensely pigmented and one has to be careful during application.
When applied dry, the shade lightens within three to four hours. The lasting power is approximately six to eight hours; a primer can increase the longevity. The shimmer is subtle and does not irritate my sensitive skin and eyes. This shade can be used in party and evening makeup looks.
The product does not crease or settle into the fine lines. It tends to lighten after four hours when applied without a base or a primer. It needs to be removed with a makeup remover. However, it’s a bit pricey. The pigmentation as well as the packaging are the highlight of this iconic range.
