I will continue reviewing brushes for you. However, if you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen some new Bobbi Brown lipsticks in my stash. I will simultaneously start reviewing these for you. I did review a couple of the shades from this new line earlier – Hibiscus, Hot Rose and Neutral Rose. Today’s review is on the shade “Flame”.

My Experience with Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color Flame:
Packaging: Bobbi Brown moved from her classic black packaging to the one colour which has always indicated luxe – gold! So, the case for the luxe lip color happens to be a golden one with Bobbi Brown written on the side and her lovely logo etched on top.The bullet itself is free from any branding. The lipstick has the regular twist-up mechanism and lacks the magnetic closure. However, the cap fits in snugly, so there are very little chances of it coming undone in a bag. As with all things Bobbi Brown, the lipstick comes packaged in a black box, which has the ingredients mentioned on it.
Shade: The shade, “Flame”, is a bright, medium, orange-toned red with a warm undertone and a satiny-glossy finish. This is a beautiful take on red and would be perfect for someone who prefers an orange note in their red.
Texture: The lipstick feels extremely lightweight, though not weightless. It glides on with buttery smoothness. You don’t need to layer it up, but if you do, it still won’t get cakey or heavy. The beauty of the product also lies in the fact that the smoothness with which it glides, stays on. The satin smoothness does not get drying over time. It keeps the lips hydrated as promised by Bobbi Brown. Having said that, what works for me is also that despite the softness it provides, the texture doesn’t migrate or move around too much on the lips. It adhers well to the lips once applied. Yes, it does transfer to other surface it touches because of the satin finish, but you do not feel the slip on the lips. The smoothness it provides to the lips make them appear plumped and luscious. The fine lines on my lips seem less evident with this one. At the end of the day, your lips feel better off having worn the lipstick. If you like the shade but the transference of the product, especially when it is this bright, deters you from trying it, I have a tip. You can apply the lipstick, leave it on for 5 minutes and then just blot it out with a tissue. This will take care of the creamy texture on the surface of the lip, leaving a strong stain on your lips which will last you a good 4-4.5 hours – without the fear of transfer. The pigment is that strong!
Pigmentation: Pigmentation is quite good. A single layer gives a full wash of colour. Like I said, as a habit, we tend to go over our lips a couple of time, but that isn’t really required. The colour is fully opaque and hides my lip pigmentation very well.
Lasting Power: The lipstick gives you about 6-6.5 hours of wear. This shade leave a vivid stain which gives you another couple of hours of wear time. And, because of the strong stain, the lipstick does not seem to look like it’s wearing off. As the lipstick starts to wear off, it does so evenly, without getting or looking patchy.
Fragrance: There is a very faint fragrance only when I put my nose to it!

Do I Recommend Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color Flame?
This one is such a stunning shade. I know the price point of these lipsticks are higher and would make one evaluate whether it is worth it. And rightly so! The texture of the product does make it stand out and delivers the luxurious feel to it. Combine that with the colour and the packaging – and you have a winner.
