Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge For Lips and Cheeks – Pale Pink Review

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge For Lips And Cheeks – Pale Pink Review

Hello everyone,

I am really happy to be reviewing my first-ever Bobbi Brown product, I received this as a gift about a year ago. I do wish Bobbi Brown was available in my city though. Let’s get down to the review though..

Our best-selling, multi-tasking cream color just got even better. Blend it on the apples of your cheeks for a just-pinched look. Blot it on your lips for a soft, stained finish. For drier skins, be sure to moisturize skin first.

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge For Lips and Cheeks

Packaging:

These Pot Rouges come in a wide round tub with a screw-on plastic black cap. However, I believe that the new packaging has a plastic flip-open lid.

Shade:

A medium shade of rose pink (I don’t think it’s “pale” at all).

Texture:

It has a rich, creamy texture.

Pigmentation:

Gives a good swipe of colour with one stroke, and the colour is buildable.

Application:

On Cheeks – It gives a rich, pigmented colour with just one stroke on the cheeks, is super-blendable and does not give a greasy finish. Gives a pretty, rosy hue to the cheeks. Dry-skinned beauties will need to use a moisturizer first.

On Lips – Gives creamy and rich coverage when used as a lip colour, and can also be used as a lip stain by blotting after application. Looks like a nice medium rose coloured shade and would suit most skin tones.

Longevity:

On both cheeks and lips, lasts for quite some time, at least 4 hours on cheeks, and at least three and a half hours on lips, and fades evenly on lips, leaving a pinkish stain.

My Experience with Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge For Lips And Cheeks – Pale Pink:

When I use Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Pale Pink on my cheeks, it does not feel greasy or uncomfortable. It feels absolutely weightless too. The nice wide round tub makes it easy to pick up the product with my fingers and it blends superbly and evenly on my cheeks, with pigmented colour in just one stroke and yet it is buildable at the same time. I like to apply a stroke or two of this as a blush, and then if I feel I have overdone it, I use a powder brush with a few dabs of powder to blend it out.

If I feel I have applied less product, I don’t go overboard with more of this creme blush, but I use a blush brush to pick up a light pink powder blush (e.g. like MAC Pink Swoon) and gently apply it over this. Of course, it’s always great when you can multi-task with products, so when I use this on my cheeks, I also use it on my lips also to complete the look. It goes on pretty well on my dry lips.  My lips remain moisturized and comfortable and it gives a nice glossy sheen too. I have used this more as a blush than a lip colour (because I’m lazy to use it with a lip brush!), but am very happy using it both ways.
