Bobbi Brown Powder Brush Review

I have always invested in good makeup brushes. They advice you to create your kit with basic synthetic brushes as a beginner but I have created mine with mostly luxury brands. I mostly have brushes from brands like Bobbi Brown, MAC, Dior and Sephora but Real Techniques is my favorite. Today, I am going to review Bobbi Brown Powder Brush from my collection. I love the fact that this brush is really soft and is made with real pony hairs. Let’s get into the detailed review.

Bobbi Brown Powder Brush Review

Price: INR 7000
Product Description:
A luxurious brush designed with a gently tapered, softly bristled head to use with Face Powder and Sheer Finish Loose Powder. Dusts just the right amount of powder on skin for an even and polished, yet natural look.

How to Use:
Apply powder all over the face for a flawless finish or right where you need it to “set” makeup for the day.
Packaging:
To be honest, I didn’t like the packaging of the product. Of course, if you are spending 7000 bucks on a brush you expect it to be nicely packaged and have some luxurious feel to it. But, this brush comes in a plastic wrapper, which is not at all appealing. So, I am not a big fan of the packaging here.

My Experience with Bobbi Brown Powder Brush:

The main reason why I got this brush is that it doesn’t have any synthetic hair. I have tried and tested many other brushes earlier and those brushes were a little pokey. They would even lose their shape after a wash. Also, the bristles of those brushes would become too fluffy, making the product enter deep inside and leading to wastage.

This one just dusts the right amount of powder on the skin for an even and polished look. Also, it makes the powder look really natural and not too “made up” as it evenly distributes the product. The bristles are super soft to touch and feel. They feel really soft on the skin and are not pokey or harsh.

I like the quality of the brush. Also, I gently wash it with Johnson’s Baby Shampoo and let it flat dry. This way, the brush retains its shape and goes on for years. I use it with my pressed powder and loose powder both to set my makeup and it works just fine.

Bobbi Brown Powder Brush Bristles

Pros of Bobbi Brown Powder Brush:

• Natural bristles.
• Applies the product evenly.
• Bristles are soft.
• Dense and fluffy.
• Retains its shape if washed properly.
• Product sits on top, preventing wastage.

Cons of Bobbi Brown Powder Brush:

• Very expensive (especially in India)

Would I Repurchase Bobbi Brown Powder Brush?
No, I won’t repurchase it as I am sure this brush will last me a really long time. The makeup artist at the store told me that this brush would last me years and years if I maintain it properly. So yes, I don’t think I will have to repurchase this one.
Would I Recommend Bobbi Brown Powder Brush?
Get it only if you’re looking for a high-end brush. And, I would suggest you to pick it up from the states as it is really expensive in India.
