Today, I am here to share my views on Bobbi Brown Retouching Wand. I picked it in the shade “Light to Medium,” for my moderately fair skin tone. This formula is one more addition to Bobbi Brown’s face retouching products. This formula can also be used as foundation all over the face or wherever coverage is necessary. How To Use:
To even out bare skin, apply starting at the center of the face and blend outwards with fingers. For a nude glow, apply tinted moisturiser or tinted moisturising balm all over the face, then use the retouching wand for added coverage where needed. To perfect your foundation, lightly sweep wand over skin to smooth, enhance and create the most polished skin.
My Experience with Bobbi Brown Retouching Wand:
I usually prefer using light foundations, beauty balms or tinted moisturisers for daily use because these products provide me sheer to medium coverage. A retouching product comes handy, to disguise unwanted dark spots, acne scars and blemishes and add coverage wherever necessary. Having used Jane Iredale Zap and Hide Blemish Concealer, I wanted to try Bobbi Brown Retouching Wand. I picked it in the shade “Light to Medium,” which is a light beige shade with peachy yellow undertones. This shade helps even out and correct discolouration in light to medium skin tones.
The creamy liquid formula comes packaged in a black coloured pen, which has a sponge tip applicator attached. The base of the pen needs to be twisted several times to bring out the formula. The cap closes firmly. This travel-friendly pen comes packaged in a black coloured cardboard box. The texture is soft and formula is lightweight, does not feel heavy or sticky. It applies smoothly and spreads evenly.
This shade suits my moderately fair skin tone and helps conceal acne scars, blemishes and dark spots. Can be used before applying foundation, as a base formula or can be used after applying foundation to cover and touch up required areas of the face.
The sponge tip applicator is very handy to buff the product onto the face and enables smooth and even application. However, a sponge applicator can be termed unhygienic. It does not dry, irritate or cause breakouts on my sensitive skin. It does not accentuate pores or dry skin. This product is available in nine shades, for all skin tones. I use this retouching wand, whenever I feel the necessity to disguise acne scars, blemishes and dark spots.
It’s a lightweight formula and imparts natural coverage. Since it is a liquid formula, it is advisable to shake the pen prior to twisting the base, to bring out the formula. This retouching wand is definitely handy and can be carried along, for on the go touch ups. Currently, this formula suits my sensitive and combination skin in this cool weather. It does not block pores or cause any breakouts. However, cannot comment if this formula will suit my sensitive and combination skin in hot weather, when my skin tends to get a bit oily and acne prone.
