Hi girls,

Today I am back with a lipstick review, it is from one of my favourite brands, Bobbi Brown. I love this shade and I am hooked on to it, I had been searching this shade for a while but it was not available here in Dubai. My hubby bought this from one of his trips and I was overjoyed when I got this shade. So lets jump into the review and see whether my fascination had its right culmination.

My take on Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color- Nude Rose 27

Packaging- It comes in a glossy black outer cover which has all the details regarding the lipstick. The lipstick itself is encased in a rectangular black matte body with a glossy black rim in the middle portion and on the lower portion is written ‘Bobbi Brown’ in white bold letters. The casing is sturdy and shuts with a tight ‘click’ and looks very classy yet simple.

Colour– The shade is described as a medium tone rose brown by the brand. It is quite apt, the shade has an equal mix of rose and brown that gives a peachy tone to the shade in daylight and the correct rose brown shade in artificial lighting. It is a very warm versatile colour that will suit every skin tone.

Texture– It is creamy in nature, more like a satin cream texture and helps in effortless application, there was no dragging or pulling. It did not highlight any dry patches or settle into lip lines. I loved the feel it gave on my lips, it was light-weight and how much ever I tried to layer it, it never made my lips look cakey. It gave a precise application without crossing the lip boundary.

Finish– The lipstick gave a very satin smooth finish, it did not give any glossy sheen to the lips. It also gave enough hydration to the lips and did not leave it dry. There is no need to apply a lip balm beneath as it gives ample moisurization.

Pigmentation and Coverage– It gave almost opaque coverage in a single swipe and is highly pigmented which gives true colour to your lips just as in the tube It is a very neutral shade and will even give full coverage to pigmented lips. It is not a buildable colour as it gives opaque finish in one swipe, but can be layered to fill in lip crevices and achieve a perfect pout.

Staying power– It has a pretty decent staying power, stays on for around 5 to 6 hours with drinking and light meals. After a heavy meal, the lipstick was right there in place with just a light fading. There was very less transfer to cups and cutlery, even feathering and bleeding was absent, it just stayed put throughout the wear.

Fragrance– There is actually no discernible scent to this lipstick and I quite like it as I have this tendency to sniff my lipstick all the time, which is definitely a distraction.

It is a universally flattering shade and nothing can go wrong while applying this shade. It will suit all complexions equally and can be paired with a smoky eye or simple eye make-up. There is nothing tricky about this shade, it delivers what is given in the tube.

A universally flattering shade that will suit most of the complexions.
A creamy light-weight formula that gives enough moisturization throughout the wear.
It glides on smoothly without any friction and also helps in precise application.
It gives a smooth satin finish that stays all day along.
Does not highlight dry patches or settle into lip lines.
There is no feathering or bleeding and stays right in place throughout the wear.
It has very good staying power, around 5 to 6 hours with light meals.
The simple yet classy packing is quite sturdy and travel friendly.

I really did not find any cons.
