My Experience with The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Cream:
I never know why TBS always increases its discount rate after my purchase is done….grrr! Never mind, I was willing to try all TBS body care products ever since I came to know about them through IMBB 😛 Their skin care products are kind of hit and miss for me as weather is changing and so is my skin, but their body care products are really good and effective per my experience. I am not very fond of shower creams as I have oily skin, but somehow this Brazil nut shower cream impressed me to the core of my heart. This pale dirty brown runny fluid smells very similar to that of molten kismi toffee bar (I hope you guys remember those 80’s bars, feel nostalgic) or coffee bar. I haven’t sniffed or seen Brazil nut before, so I cannot comment on its authenticity, but it does smell nutty like any nutty bar or chocolates:P I always crave for candies after sniffing it 😛
The smell is so strong that it lingers on and on for 1-2 hours after I step out of shower room. Even the consistency is creamy unlike shower gels. It cleans and refreshes in just one wash and intensely hydrates my skin. Nowadays, I have become a big lazy bum, believe me, I hardly manage to use body cream, just take bathe and slip inside my bed. This shower cream is hydrating enough to moisturize my whole body for good hours even after skipping body creams.
I feel it is apt for winters as we need more hydration and creamy stuff for our pampered skin; however, I would skip it from my summer body care routine as it might be slightly heavy or say creamy for my super oily skin. Nowadays, I only love to step inside cold and chilling bath tub because of this hot yummy nutty sauce. It gives me spa-like feel and I often skip body creams after using it! I noticed that it gave a healthy sheen to my body apart from making it soft and silky for quite some time. I believe TBS shower creams are going to be my best buddy for these winters forgetting about their ingredient lists. I would highly recommend this sensual shower cream to all of you, especially for chilling winters.
Let’s sum up the pros and cons:
Pros of The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Cream:
- Intense hydrating shower cream.
- Heavenly-smelling nutty aroma which lingers on and on for good 1-2 hours even after stepping out of shower.
- Gives spa-like feel with its creamy soft and hydrating feel on skin.
- Leaves skin squeaky clean yet intensely hydrated for good hours.
- I never used body creams after using it in shower, it moisturises my skin for hours.
- An ideal shower cream for chilling cold winters.
- Always available in discount or fairly priced with decent amount of product.
Cons of The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Cream:
- Does contains SLS, (it’s hardly bothering though :P)
As of now, I only feel these products are slightly pricey but their packaging never seems high end 😛 I feel if ever TBS bans SLS in their products, then it will be my HG brand for body care regimen. However, I still consider their bath and body care products in my shopping list. If you love pampering your skin while indulging in nutty and chocolatey creamy sensual spa, then this Brazil nut shower cream is a must try for you. Just go and get it, you won’t regret your purchase buddies, it’s always available in discount 😉
