The Body Shop Cucumber Cleansing Milk Review

The Body Shop Cucumber Cleansing Milk

Hellooo ladies….!!!!!!!

My first ever post for IMBB. My first ever review written. Naturally, I am a little excited about the entire episode, a little nervous also.:)

To start with, I chose The Body Shop Cucumber Cleansing Milk, which I have been using for the past 8 months.

I had been eyeing Body Shop products after getting introduced through IMBB. Coincidentally, I received this cleansing milk as a gift from my cousin. It seemed like she read my mind. Voila..!!!!

What The Body Shop has to say about this product:

It gently lifts away excess oils, make-up and impurities without drying the skin, to leave skin feeling clean, fresh, soft and smooth.

Community Trade organically grown soya oil from Brazil – helps restore moisture, smoothness and suppleness to the skin.

Cucumber extract – is a gentle ingredient to help refresh the skin.

Glycerin – moisturizes.

Instructions:
Massage a small amount onto damp skin and tissue off.

Price and quantity:
As mentioned earlier, I received this as a gift. The Body Shop India website says now Rs. 445 for 250 ml.

My experience:
I have a very sensitive skin (though not very oily, my skin is oily to some extent.) My facial skin breaks out easily when experimented with new products. But this product did not cause any harm. No break outs too. Seemed very suitable for my skin type.

The bottle comes with a flip cap, which ensures controlled flow of product. Twisting the thread can also open the cap. Once the product gets finished, the bottle can be merrily used for other purpose.

The cleansing milk is very creamy and cooling and has a very light greenish color in it.

After massaging for about 5 minutes, I wipe my face with a piece of cotton. The cotton brings out all the dirt.

But the smell is not too pleasant, at least to me. I some how did not like its scent. Some of you might like the same. Individual taste you see.

I am not sure if this could be a good make up remover. I have never tried to do so.

Of course, I have tried this cleansing milk with eyeliner (Street wear) and kajal (home made) still on. Worked great in removing them.

I use this product twice a week. Very effective cleansing milk I must say.

Pros of The Body Shop Cucumber Cleansing Milk:

1. From the website, “The Capanema farmers in southern Brazil believe in preserving nature and their traditional way of life. Community Trade provides the farmers with a fair wage and regular income. It has helped the community establish a livelihood, developing their skills to gain access to other markets and customers. This seems to be an interesting concept.
2. Package also claims 100% post-consumer recycled packaging!!!
3. Removes excess oil as it claims and makes my face dirt free.
4. Does not dry out my face.
5. Easy to use and carry bottle.

Cons of The Body Shop Cucumber Cleansing Milk:

1. Packaging is not very interesting to me.
2. The smell is not very pleasant. I cannot exactly relate the smell to anything similar.

Rating:
4/5 (reduced 1 for its scent).

I will definitely buy this again (In spite of its scent issue)
