The Body Shop Eye Colour – Baby Pink Review

The Body Shop Eye Colour – Baby Pink Review

Hey gals and beauty queens, how are you doing??

How is your weekend?? I had a great time last weekend, did lots of shopping and had fun.  I had been to a famous mall in my city and as I entered the mall, I had seen a big hoarding of a beautiful black with red embroidery kurti. It was so awesome, but it was from a big brand and as it was month end for me (I did lots of online shopping this month :P), I thought I wouldn’t be able to buy it, but you know what? bought it, that’s a big story, let’s not get into further details and let me continue with the review.

So, after that I went to The Body Shop store.  The shop was offering 10% to 60% discounts on various products and there were a few eye shadows in the 60% discount range.  I just saw those colors and I was amazed to see some colors which I had wanted to buy from a long back, but it was Rs. 515.  I kept it back and was about to leave the store when something suddenly struck me that there was 60% off on it, so each costed only Rs. 206.  The devil in me didn’t allow to leave such a great deal.  I bought two of those, out of which one I am reviewing now. It has both shade number and name (cool, isn’t it?).  This shade is called “Baby Pink” and the shade number is 40. It is a pink with silver shimmer. The shade name printed behind it was wrong 🙁 Observe the picture showing its price. It was labelled as “Midnight Blue,” but when I searched online with its shade number, I came to know that this shade is actually called “Baby Pink.”

Price:

Original price is Rs. 515/-, but I got it for Rs. 206/-

My Experience with The Body Shop Eye Colour – Baby Pink:

The Body Shop is known for its quality products. So, it needs no introduction. Well, coming to this product, this is my first pink eye shadow. It is a pretty shade with lots of silver shimmer. The shimmer isn’t quite loud, but yes, it dominates the color.  A lot of the product has to be applied when you want the actual color to be seen. When applied in less quantity, it actually looks like a silver shade, but luckily it does not have much fall out, the quality was great. It doesn’t appear chalky at all.  The swatch on my hand lasted for about 2 hours (yes, I didn’t wipe it off as I wanted to see how long it would last), but on my eyes, it lasted for about 3 hours.  When I used it over the eye without a primer, it didn’t last long.  So, I guess it would be lasting more when used over the primer.  So, I would recommend to use this eye shadow over an eye primer.

Cons of The Body Shop Eye Colour – Baby Pink:

  • No brush provided.
  • More product has to be applied to achieve the original color.
