I have already reviewed The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Shimmer Lotion some time back and as promised, I am reviewing the Ginger variant that I got along with that one at 50% discount. Well, as I have already raved about the product in my previous post, this one is almost same with a different fragrance.

My Experience with The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Shimmer Lotion:

I am not a fan of TBS skincare and makeup range; I think TBS is very bad when it comes to skin care and makeup.  I have had really bad experiences with both and I think only tea tree cleanser is a good option and a few face masks, but that’s it, other skin care products can’t deliver anything apart from a hole in my pocket. The makeup range is also not up to the mark for the price they charge. I can easily get any drugstore product that works far better at half the price. As far as bath and body products are concerned, they have a lot to choose from and I love indulging myself as I get to pick and choose from so many options and they do give fair results, be it shampoos, lotions or shower gels, etc.

I just love this shimmer lotion range from TBS and the best part is that a little goes a long way. I just need a little more than a pea-sized amount to cover an arm or a leg.  I am not able to finish the strawberry one yet and this bottle is almost full. It’s a very lightweight lotion that quickly disappears into my skin leaving it soft and glistening.  The packaging is regular like all TBS products, but I like the colour of the pump and the fact that the pump has an in-built lock which make this bottle safe to travel and the consistency is not at all runny and water like, it’s kind of like face creams.

I am glad that I picked up two of these as they will last me for the next year as well and the hoarder in me is happy about it.  As I said in my previous post, that this lotion can be perfect for parties and beach holidays, but in winters some of may not find it hydrating enough as the skin becomes dry and needs more hydration and moisture, but for me, it works fine in winters also, as I have oily skin and it gives just the right amount of hydration without greasiness.
