The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Mist Review

Sakura – the Japanese Cherry Blossom known for its beauty, beautifying properties and enchanting fragrance. The Body Shop (India) already had the impressive range of Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Butter, Body Puree, Eau De Toilette and Shower Gel.
The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom

To this, they have added another gem – the Body Mist. It was available globally from much before, but came to India only recently.

The light pink tinted liquid has an enticing, decadent fragrance that is warm and luscious. And the spray is fine and light. The body of the container is made of hard plastic, thereby making it safe to be carried in a purse/handbag. The elegant and feminine smell is at its clearest best compared to the few other products of this range that I have used previously, for example, the body butter (naturally) has a little creamy smell tinting the Sakura fragrance. But this darling emanates a free, sweet fragrance that is both exotic, and soft.

I liked the whole packaging, including the beautiful label with the vector art flowers on the stem. The bottle is light-weight, so does not add additional weight to the liquid when carrying it with you in a bag. The smell stays for a long time, I could detect traces of it myself, after nearly 7 hours of outdoor activities.
The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Bottle
Apart from Japanese Cherry Blossom, there are traces of jasmine, sandalwood and persimmon, which subtly give it a musky accent. The price (for 100 ml) has been reduced from Rs 795 to Rs 645, thereby making the product an even more desirable one. The overall profile of the body mist goes as following :
Manufactured by – The Body Shop.
Marketed by – The Body Shop.
Available in – The Body Shop stores and outlets.
Key Ingredients – Japanese Cherry Blossom (Sakura) extracts, Star Jasmine, Fuji Apple, Japanese Persimmon, Sandalwood, Chinese Magnolia and Fruity Musk.
Quantity – 100 ml.
Price – Rs 645.
The most striking thing about these Japanese Cherry Blossoms, or Sakura as they are called, is that they bloom for only a couple of days during spring in the whole year!  The international (American) look of the product is like this :

I am happy to see that the Indian bottle looks better .

Now let us move on to the positives and negatives of The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Mist:

The points that I LIKE about Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Mist from Body Shop are :
 the S-U-P-E-R-B and out of the world fragrance. It is classy and warm, elegant and soft, ethereal and feminine.
 the hard plastic body enables it to be carried in your bag.
 the fragrance is lasting in duration.
 the mist is fine, so the nozzle sprays the liquid smoothly.
 the price has been reduced by Rs. 150.

However, we have to keep in mind that The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Mist
 is NOT an Eau De Toilette, so it is better to keep away from clothes.
 ensnares you to be a loyal user, blocking out all thoughts of any other alternative.

My rating is– 4.5 out of 5.

We would also like to thank Scarlett for working on IMBB logo. Our present logo was pixellating before yesterday. Scarlett worked on the image in Photoshop without telling us, corrected it, and sent a better image to us. The current logo of IMBB is all thanks to Scarlett. 🙂

  3. Oh I have to check this now for sure. I dont have a single body mist. 🙁 Two women at the TBS store bought some body mists right infront of me today and I was wondering, like why buy body mist kinds. Why not buy a perfume?

I have to try this now.

And thanks a ton for the logo. It was very touching. :))

      1. body mist is for body like arms and legs etc, plus has glycerine so mild moisturising properties….. so u spray all over body after bath no … also milder scent …

perfume is for ur pulse points so intense smell radiates from them …. not moisturising… not for all over body…

body mist is like … if ur donkey smelled ur legs – even they would smell heavenly

      2. as far as i know the difference is in the alcohol and water content, perfume has more alcohol and mist has more water .. ?:) ?:) ?:) ?:) ?:) ?:) ?:)
