The Body Shop Lip Care Review
Hello All,

Today’s product for review is “The Body Shop Lip Care.” Are you wondering which lip care product? Okay. Good. We are no different then. When I got this, I tried to figure out which lip care it is. Of course, I knew it was “The Body Shop,” but then the product in itself is called just “lip care.”
I surfed TBS Indian website and did not see this anywhere listed, but when I opened the US website I saw that they did have TBS Lip Care product and it looked exactly like what I had got.

Now, I tell you how this confusion was created. My husband went to Chennai for a day last week. He went to Ambience Mall in Chennai and called me saying that he had spotted a TBS store there. I screamed on this end of the phone. First because I was glad he remembered what brands I normally use and second because I knew I could get a few items from TBS now. I asked him to get me 2-3 things from the store. I asked him to get me Aloe lip treatment and he asked me “why do you want a lip treatment? Your lips are perfectly fine!’ 😀 Then I decided to talk to the SA instead who was a polite girl to talk to. I told her if she had Aloe lip treatment, she said yes, and then when my hubby got back home, he had got this – TBS lip care.
Any which ways, this lip care is awesome! First, I am so glad my hubby got this for me that too when he dislikes cosmetics on me (he keeps re-iterating he prefers my plain, raw face! :D) and second because this is so convenient to apply.

My Take on The Body Shop Lip Care:
I have ditched my Lush None of your beeswax lip balm since I got this one, simply because this is so convenient to apply and this is possibly the lightest lip balm I have used so far. The best thing is that it comes in a packaging exactly similar to a lipstick. It is not a roll-on but a colorless lipstick. So, it is super convenient to apply. It is very light in texture and gives a subtle shine to the lips, but is not at all overwhelming, instead it gives a good look to the lips.
Contrary to TBS’s Born Lippy lip balms, this lip balm is not to be re-applied over and over again. In a day, I need to apply this just 2-3 times which is amazing for a lip balm for a person like me who constantly keeps biting her lips.
The product would easily last me many months, I am sure. I love it, even more than Lush lip balm.
Pros of The Body Shop Lip Care:
- Light and non greasy; not waxy or glossy at all.
- Moisturizes very well; I just apply it 2-3 times in a day.
- Very convenient to use.
- One application easily lasts for 4 hours.
- Contains SPF as well.
- Feels very light and slightly shiny on the lips.
Cons of The Body Shop Lip Care:
- Practically nothing except the price or maybe the availability.
IMBB Rating:
5/5, I am loving it!
I am super glad while writing this post. Not only because of the lovely cosmetics that I got but also because I have got a new camera as well!! Yay! I wanted to upgrade my camera, but did not want a SLR, so bought RX100. It is the most popular point and shoot camera these days. Girls, have a short, virtual trip to Andamans.
Picture of a rainbow that I clicked on my last trip to Port Blair. Wishing ya all a fabulous weekend.

Yeah Abeer.. it is indeed great. Check it out.
Did u guys hear about what happened in Ghatkopar? Apparently these TBS guys are selling their expired products in India and in a investigation carried out by the FDA, they had changed the labels of the expiry date on their products in India. I got so pissed 🙁
My comment is awaiting moderation?? This is happening to me 2nd time…how does this thing work? does somebody work it out? cuz last time nobody bothered 🙁
Hey Astha.. it happens but someone from the team immediately rescues the comment like they rescued yours! 😀
