The Body Shop Lipstick – Shade No. 06 Review
Hello IMBB Beauties,
Hope you are all doing well. After reviewing a dud from L’Oreal, today, I am going to review a lipstick from the brand “The Body Shop” with a shade number 06. It is funny that they do not name their lipsticks; you have to be smart enough to remember the names. Again, it might strike to some people why lipstick from The Body Shop? I was actually going through a “Love The Body Shop” phase and wanted to try their cosmetics after a lovely experience with their skin and hair care products.
Packaging:
The Body Shop lipstick 06 comes in a sleek steel packaging. I adore the silver body as it is fuss free. It is quite compact and easy to carry around in your handbag. The reference number of the shade is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick. The logo of The Body Shop is embossed on the top.
Finish:
The Body Shop lipstick 06 is a sheer lipstick and is almost like a tinted lip balm. It will glide on your lips with ease and give a pearly glossy finish.
Pigmentation:
The beauty of this color I believe is the sheerness. If you have pigmented lips, this might not be the color for you, but exfoliated lips with proper lining will bring out the real beauty of the shade.
Staying Power:
The Body Shop lipstick 06 stays on your bare lips for about an hour. If you have meals in-between, the color will completely vanish. Being so sheer and light on lips, this scores less in staying power.
My Experience with The Body Shop Lipstick – Shade No. 06:
This is my go-to lipstick for errands. Grocery shopping in winter or just a walk with hubby, I reach out for this shade often. I do not prefer this for long time wearing as this fades very easily and touching up so frequently is not possible. I like the sheer color that it imparts to lips and with a lip liner beneath, the staying power would definitely improve. I am already halfway through it, might use up fully in this winter considering the nice amount of moisture it provides.
Price:
Rs. 595 for 2.1 gm.
