The Body Shop Love Gloss Blush Pink

Hey Girls,

In this article, I am going to review a lip gloss by The Body Shop. The shade is Blush Pink. The lip gloss is translucent and matte. The consistency is a little thick. This is the first time I went and bought a lipgloss, since I always stole lip glosses from my mother’s collection. I have always been into nude colours, so that even after a tiring day, I still look fresh.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 595/- for 7.5 ml.

My Experience with The Body Shop Love Gloss:

This colour is a nude brownish pink colour. It’s a very light colour, suitable for daily use, especially office. This is my favourite shade. It suits all skin shades. It does not contain shimmer. This is more of a day colour. This colour is very subtle and gives a clean look. It lasts for a good 4-5 hours (excluding eating). The colour is brownish, but when applied on lips, look pinkish. The lip gloss does not stain your lips and after the it gets removed, it still keeps the lips moisturized. The sad part is that there is no SPF at all.

It has a very confused fragrance, it has fruitiness in it, but yet, it has a slight tinge of synthetic smell in it, and the taste is also not very nice. It has that synthetic taste as well, but it is not that bad. I am not much of a lipstick/gloss user, so that is why I find the taste funny, but if you are a regular lipstick/gloss applier, the taste will not bother you.

What I Like about The Body Shop Love Gloss:

1) Consistency of thickness of the gloss is right. It is not runny or very thick.
2) Easy to carry and easy to apply, glides very well.
3) It does not stain your lips.
4) Stays on for good 5 hours.
5) It is good for regular use.
6) No bright shimmer/sparkles in it, which I like about this gloss.
7) Cute applicator.

What I Dislike about The Body Shop Love Gloss:

1) The funny smell and taste of the lipgloss.
2) The packaging is cute, but very delicate. The lid of the gloss already has a dent in it because I pressed it a little hard.
3) No SPF.

Conclusion:

In all, the lipgloss is good and excellent for daily use. It does not smeared or bleed, lasts long and keeps lips moisturized even after it fades.

4/5 (deducting half mark for funny taste and smell and half mark for the delicate packaging).
