The Body Shop Moroccan Rose EDT Review

The Body Shop Moroccan Rose EDT Review

Hello darlings, how have you all been?

I am back with yet another perfume review and this is one scent that makes my summers pleasant.

I’m reviewing TBS Moroccan Rose EDT which I have in 50 ml.

The Body Shop Website Describes it as:

Offering a modern twist on a traditional rose fragrance, perfectly capturing the beauty and romance of Valentine’s Day. Featuring essence of Moroccan rose oil, this is an exquisite fresh fragrance that simply exudes femininity.

Body Shop morrocan EDT

Ingredients:

Alcohol denat., Water, Fragrance, Geranlol, Limonene, Citronellol, Hydroxycitronellal, t-Butyl alcohol, Linalool, Rose flower oil, Alpha-isomethyl Ionone, Citral, Eugenol, Denatonium benzoate.

Fragrance (as described on the website):

A sophisticated scent with lemon oil, a hint of spice, warm vanilla and sensual musk, offering you a modern interpretation of a traditional rose fragrance.

This perfume was launched in 2009 near Valentine’s Day, which is the perfect occasion for a fragrance like this one.

The fragrance is subtle, flowery (of course the rose!) and summery. It is a light scent that can be used during summer days. Although, I am a person who likes strong perfumes, but the moment I smelt this perfume, I couldn’t resist buying it. It has one of the most amazing rose aromas.

I remember my mom had a very expensive Stella McCartney perfume, a few years ago. It was almost the same fragrance and about four times the price.

The aroma of this perfume is not typically that of a rose, but it is an amazingly fresh scent. The musk and lemon oil add that zing to this perfume and hence it is not totally floral.

It somehow reminds me of old-world charms. The feminine scent is pleasant and brings along a sense of fairy-tale feel.

If I had to personify this perfume, I’d say she’s a girl in her late twenties, with soft features, embarking on a new journey in her life. She brings with her joy and the beauty of youth. She wears glistening white clothes and a sparkling smile to match. She carries herself effortlessly yet elegantly. Simplicity is her surname and her charm is the freshness she oozes.

My imagination has a clear picture of what this perfume would turn out to be if it were a woman, but this is the best description I can give.

Price:

Rs.895/- for 50ml EDT.

Staying Power:

On me, this perfume stays for about 3-4 hours, after that the fragrance begins to fade away, but for the price, I think it is good enough.

Pros of The Body Shop Moroccan Rose EDT:

1. Small bottle, so it is easy to carry.
2. Medium staying power.
3. Fresh and light scent.
4. Price is good, considering that similar fragrances retail at much higher rates.

Cons of The Body Shop Moroccan Rose EDT:

1. Flimsy packaging, the lid is just a namesake, it is very loose.
2. There is no carton for this perfume. They just give take the bottle and quickly shove it into TBS paperbag so you can’t question about it.
3. I wish it stayed on for longer !

I hope you all liked the review.

If you are planning to buy this perfume, then better do that now. Because firstly, TBS sale is about to end and secondly, it is the perfect fragrance for this weather.

Wishing you all a lovely day !!

  3. I asked for this on my birthday this past June and was so delighted to receive it. I really like this one too Mehr. :high5: That was a very pretty description of the perfume as a woman. :))

  4. Good job with the review. I picked it up after reading about it in Battle for Bittora… nice especially considering that I usually hate floral scents!
