The Body Shop Passion Fruit Shower Gel Review

By Triya

Hi 🙂

I have always wanted to write about this favourite product of mine, but just couldn’t get a chance to do so.  Now, that I found the time (with much difficulty), I would like to review this favourite possession of mine – The Body Shop Passion Fruit Shower Gel.

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Shower Gel Review

As you can see from the photo, the quantity is pretty less now, but I have been using it for months. (Please forgive the embarrassing conditions of my room, I live in a hostel :D)

I have tried a few shower creams and body wash, but nothing stands in comparison with this.

Moving on to the product, the first thing that I absolutely adore about this is the fragrance. It’s lovely, and gives a lingering smell of passion fruit for some time after I come out of the bath, and it totally has the power to uplift my mood! 🙂

The packaging is like standard Body Shop shower gels, and comes in a 250 ml bottle and says “Juicy soap-free cleansing with moisturising passion fruit seed oil.” Even though it is soap-free, it does lather pretty much. The shower gel itself is a great purple colour in the bottle, which I love, and is another reason for me loving it 😀 but when taken out on the hand, it becomes clear.

The only ingredients mentioned are the passion fruit seed oil on the front, rest I cannot find anything. I don’t know if it was written on the outer packaging, because I got this as a gift along with the Passion fruit Body Butter (hopefully, I will review that too).

Passion fruit seed oil is for moisturizing the skin, so it will be great for those with dry skin.  I myself have pretty oily-combination skin, but I find it great too, so I guess others will find it great too.

Pros of The Body Shop Passion Fruit Shower Gel:

  • Lovely fragrance, lingers on till some time.
  • Skin feels very soft and moisturized after using this. (I personally skip the moisturizer sometimes and still my skin feels hydrated).
  • Lathers pretty well.
  • Only a little amount is required. This particular one has lasted me for months!
  • Love the purple colour!
  • Good packaging, travel friendly.

Cons of The Body Shop Passion Fruit Shower Gel:

  • Availability. I got it as a gift, brought from UK, so it’s possible that it’s available there, but I did not find it in their store here or online 🙁
  • Ingredients list not mentioned, maybe it is there on the outer packaging, or the website.
  • Price might be high for some.

IMBB Rating:

4/5.

Would I Repurchase The Body Shop Passion Fruit Shower Gel?

Yes, I definitely wanted to, but can’t. I am looking to buy their Tea Tree shower gel next.
