The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion Review

Hello everyone, today I have decided to review The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion that I purchased while on my shopping of TBS products inspired by IMBB. The name attracted me and on last thought decided to test whether it does provide the cooling sensation that it claims. Who doesn’t want cold feet in this hot weather and my feet by the end of the day feel as if they are an oven and imparting heat. Now is the product as good as the name sounds let’s find out.

As it’s a lotion it comes in a transparent bottle as almost all The Body Shop Products do and is slightly pink in color though it appears white in the below picture. The bottle has a similar foot sign as on its Peppermint Foot Scrub tub and is priced at Rs 575 for 250ml.

There is no ingredient list mentioned but this is what the bottle has to say: “ Community Trade cocoa butter and smoothing grape acids keep feet soft and smooth all day long, peppermint oil refreshes and revives.” To sum up: Cools and refreshes, leaves feet feeling soft and smooth, helps to combat odor. For a complete list of ingredients one can visit the company website.
cap
The moment you open the cap you can get a mild Peppermint Smell that I can simply relate to Wrigly’s Peppermint Chewing Gum, we all must have had them once in a while during our childhood or teenage years. It has that same smell that we can flavor in out mouth while chewing the gum. The Fragrance is neither too strong nor too light that we simply cannot get the hang of it and I might sound a little biased with the scent as I happen to be a Peppermint Lover .

The first thing that comes to our mind when we hear the word “lotion” is something runny and flowing but this is not the case here. The lotion is very thick and slightly pink in color. You need to squeeze the bottle in order to get the lotion and a very small amount is enough as it spreads on a large area and seeps into the skin very quickly unlike other foot creams that take a lot of time to get absorbed. It’s absolutely non-greasy and doesn’t give the feel of having an external unwanted layer on your skin. I usually apply it after bath and sometimes while going to bed after cleaning my feet thoroughly on a tired day. My feet feel completely relaxed due to the cooling sensation that it provides and nourished. When used with The Body Shop Peppermint Foot scrub, the effect is amazing. I am simply in love with my feet.

What I love about The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion

• Its minty aroma that’s not heady at all
• The cooling sensation
• Non-greasy texture
• Sturdy packaging that’s travel friendly
• Thick consistency which avoids spillage
• Gets quickly absorbed.
• Helps fight odour
• It’s a lotion and not thick cream
• Makes feet soft and smooth over period of time
• Feet feel nourished and pampered

What I Hate About The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion

• Towards the end its difficult to get the product out.
• The cooling sensation lasts only for a short while.

Will I repurchase it? Of course yes, but to stock it up during the sale period would be a great idea because when used on a regular basis the product doesn’t last too long.
