I usually don’t buy the same body wash, I try different fragrances from different brands to keep adding a fun change to my shower routine. The product I am reviewing in this post is The Body Shop Spa of the World Balkan Juniper Body Wash. I am not a soap user, I quit being one a long time ago. I replaced the soaps in my shower caddy with shower gels.  They are more convenient with strong fragrances and better lathering capacity. Read on for more details on Balkan Juniper Body Wash from The Body Shop.

My Experience with The Body Shop Spa of the World Balkan Juniper Body Wash:

The product comes in a bottle packaging with a flip cap on top. The packaging is sturdy and has detailed description about the product. All the products by this brand have accent colors such as yellow or pink and so on and each color is specific to the fragrance of the product or the key ingredient in the product. The packaging of products from “Spa of the World” range from The Body Shop are dark brown in color. This range claims to be inspired by purifying Russian Banya spa rituals and enriched with uplifting juniper oil from the Balkans.

The Body Shop Spa of the World Balkan Juniper Body Wash has a runny, gel-like consistency with a slight brown tint to it. The aroma of this product is refreshing and natural. It awakens the senses and makes an awesome addition to the shower routine. It is hard to pin-point the exact fragrance notes of this body wash, but to me personally, it smells like fresh guavas and pines and is pleasantly stimulating to the senses.

This body wash doesn’t contain a long list of chemicals. It has a water and surfactant base and contains other essentials chemicals to give this body wash the right consistency. Apart from these chemicals, it contains juniper oil from the Balkans and is enriched with community-trade honey from Ethiopia. It has the features of most of the regular body washes that I have tried –  it creates a generous amount of foam and is hydrating and moisturizing. My skin does not feel dry after I step out of hot shower. It smells amazing and refreshing. This body wash has inspired me to explore more products from this range and try them. I wish I get more amount of product for the money paid but those who like luxury spa experience and enjoy The Body Shop products should give a try to this product. It does not contain heavy oils that tend to stick to the body and clog pores and is safe for people with body acne.
