The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser Review

Hi Pretty Imbbians,

Happy Holi in advance to all of you!! Here comes the festival of spring and colors with a bang! But we are still confined at home because of rain and wind.  We just packed our woolen clothes a week ago as it was really hot outside, but today its raining and chilly! We just miss those distinct spring and summer seasons here.  We need to carry a pair of gloves, umbrella, sweaters, shades or rain coat all year round before leaving home. You never know when its going to shower or when you will freeze outside! I wonder if it applies for other states in America too! Anyway, I am here to talk about my new buddy for summers, TBS Tea Tree Pore Minimiser.  Please read on further to know about this multipurpose magical lotion.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser 1

  • Minimises the appearance of pores.
  • Mattifies for a shine-free finish.
  • Leaves skin feeling fresh and pure.
  • Ideal base for make-up.

This oil-free pore minimiser comes in an opaque tube with a twist over cap. The product comes in a complete travel friendly cute packaging with a strong weird smell.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser 2

My Experience with The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser:

You all know that my skin becomes super oily in summers and my facial pores always look so bigger and prominent.  I was happy with Neutrogena Naturals Moisturizer until summers arrived leaving my skin oily and uneven. I tried home remedies, but its not possible to follow them daily considering my super active toddler and the foodie hubby 😛 As mentioned earlier, I am totally into TBS these days.  I was using tea tree pore minimizer sample since a month and after being satisfied by the results, I purchased its regular size finally.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser 3

This off-white, thick textured fluid, is just apt for greasy skin. I just take out a pea-sized quantity on finger and its enough to cover my whole face.  Just make sure you don’t have a sensitive nose as the smell is really weird; however, I can tolerate any odour for the sake of my skin 😛 It makes my face hydrated yet oil free the whole day.  I just love the glow it imparts on my face as if I have applied a tinted cream.  I am damn sure it will be an ideal base for oily skin makeup, though I have never used foundation or concealer with this.  Yes dear, you heard it right, I don’t feel the need to use any foundation/concealer ever since using this minimiser as it gives me enough glow and keeps my skin blemish and oil free the whole day!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser 4

I also feel it just tightens and compresses pore size to almost negligible, though you may still see them, but who cares, we all know that we can’t get rid of them completely.  It also takes care of break outs and pimples.  I feel this really has a soothing effect and also treats redness, swelling, or uneven skin tone.  However, I have stubborn blackheads on nose and its not much effective on my nose area. But never mind, I have other treatments for blackheads.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser 5

I just wash face with tea tree face wash and then use this lotion as day cream and touchwood, I need not apply anything else then! Even for parties and functions, I just need powder touch-ups for that extra glow along with kajal and lipstick and I am all set.  For me, it’s a winning product, I can’t imagine summers without this pore minimizer.  It’s a multipurpose product which works as a toner, moisturizer as well as a primer. Overall, I feel much refreshed and glowing and I will stay away from face cosmetics (foundation, concealer) as long as I am using it as I love to flaunt my clean and clear skin rather than covering it up.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser 6

Let’s sum up the pros and cons of this product:

Pros of The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser:

  • A gel-like oil-free lotion that keeps skin hydrated and soft.
  • It does reduce the size of pores.
  • It also soothes skin after threading.
  • Also works as a primer, evens out skin tone and texture.
  • An ideal base makeup as well as day lotion for summers, especially for oily/combination beauties.
  • It also imparts glow to the skin, keeping it shine-free for the whole day.
  • The effects are quick and long lasting, provided you keep patience.
  • Overall, it does what it claims up to a great extent.

Cons of The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser:

  • You get a mini tube at a price of 18 $, never mind I get to save my money by not buying cosmetics.
  • It is not much effective on stubborn black heads on the nose, not a big issue, one can use nose strips.
  • Weird smell, though it lasts for a few minutes and I can tolerate anything for clear and fresh skin.

Apart from a few minor cons, I feel it’s a must-have product for all oily/combination beauties who are looking for an oil free, toning, luminous product or moisturizer.  I am damn sure you will never use any cosmetics after using this product as it alone gives you a healthy glow that you never need any other stuff to cover your, skin believe me! Thanks to IMBB, I have now replaced my summer skin care regime with TBS Tea Tree range completely!
