Bodyography Red China Lipstick Review

Hi girls,

Previously, I had reviewed a lipstick from Bodyography – “Cha Cha,” which turned out to be a disaster. I believe Bodyography has many finishes like sheer and matte in their collection. Cha Cha looked sheer, but this lipstick, “Red China” is pretty matte to feel.

My Experience with Bodyography Red China Lipstick:

I have only two lipsticks from this brand and now I am in two minds whether to experiment more with this brand or not. “Red China” is a very classic vibrant red lipstick. You already might own this sort of a cherry red shade. It is great for warm skin tones, but overall, it has neither very orange nor very blue undertones. So, I am pretty cool with this lipstick.

The color is very well pigmented. When you apply this, it feels a little tough and waxy. Though very pigmented, it is not buttery. Now this looks very matte on me. It just sits on the lips like a proper matte lipstick and does not bleed. Now, the problem with this lipstick is that it feels like it is sucking the moisture off my lips. Over time, I feel like wiping it off.

I love matte lipsticks, but this lipstick kind of just sits tight on the lips without any moisture. This is the reason it will last you 4 hours without budging, but still, I would go with a coat of gloss on top of this lipstick to add some moisturising feel to the lips. The packaging is fairly simple and reminds me of Faces Canada Glam On lipsticks. Overall, a great matte red lipstick to own, but nothing to drool over.
