Boots Botanics Rose Water Toning Spritz Is For You If You Love The Scent Of Roses

Hi IMBB,

The product I’m going to be reviewing for you all today is the Botanics Rose Water Toning Spritz.  I love the Boots Botanics range because it uses plant-based ingredients and it is super natural.  The reasons why I decided to try out this toner was because firstly, it has rose water and I love the scent of roses and secondly because it is 100% organic. Many products contain a lot of harsh chemicals and I have been trying to stay away from such products and go for a more natural approach. I’m definitely far from having a natural skincare routine, but this toner has definitely been the first step.  To see what my thoughts are about this product, please carry on reading!

My Take on Boots Botanics Rose Water Toning Spritz:

As I mentioned previously, this range uses plant-based ingredients and plant extracts in the products, rather than using a load of harsh chemicals, which could aggravate skin problems.  This product is no exception and it only contains five ingredients! One of the ingredients is alcohol, which is normally a big no in toners because they can be drying to the skin, but the toner also contains glycerin which helps hydrate the skin. All the ingredients are organic and since the ingredients are so minimal, you know exactly what is going onto your skin.  The amount of rose water toner that comes in the bottle is 150 ml, which I think is a very generous amount and means that the product lasts you a long time.

This is the second bottle I have purchased and I have found that each time, the product has lasted about 2-3 months, which is great.  The toner is also affordable and so the fact that you are getting a lot of product for a small price definitely ticks all the boxes for me!  The product comes in a spray bottle, hence the word “spritz” in the name of the product, so I sometimes like to spray the product onto a cotton pad and wipe it over my face or I spray it directly onto my face.

I am not really a huge fan of the spray bottle, I much prefer just pouring some toner out from a normal bottle but it’s not really an issue, it is just my preference. I have found that when spraying the product from the bottle, not a lot of product comes out, so I spray about 4 or 5 times to get my desired amount.

The first thing that hits you when you spray the toner is the smell. It is such a lovely, fresh scent of roses and it is pretty strong and sweet, so if you prefer more of a subtle scent, you might not like this toner much. I personally love the scent of roses so this really appeals to me.

Although it has some alcohol in it, there is no smell of alcohol at all, just the scent of rose water.  As for the skin benefits of this product, it definitely leaves the skin feeling fresh and hydrated, however that is as much as it does.  I have found that it hasn’t really improved my skin in any way, which I guess is fine because that is not what this toner has been designed to do, it has been designed to give a boost of hydration and refresh the skin. The toner claims that it “visibly tightens pores,” but I have found that it does not do that.

So, if you are looking for a toner that majorly improves your skin, I don’t think this is the toner for you, however this toner is great for dull or dehydrated skin.

Pros of Boots Botanics Rose Water Toning Spritz:

  • Generous amount of product in bottle.
  • 100% organic.
  • Minimal ingredients.
  • Lovely scent.
  • Provides hydration.
  • Affordable.

I have found no cons with this product, apart from the fact that it does not live up to one of it’s claims of tightening pores, however, otherwise it does what it has been designed to do!

Would I Repurchase Boots Botanics Rose Water Toning Spritz?

Yes, it is a great product!

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5

Overall, I am really satisfied with this product and it really does live up to its claims. I think I would use this product if I needed a boost of hydration, however, I do want to try some other toners that are a bit more effective at dealing with my blemished, acne prone skin. Otherwise, I have no complaints about this product and I really like the Boots Botanics range in general. I also own two other products from their range, so I will be reviewing those very soon.

Until then, thanks for reading my review and hope to see you all soon!
