Summer is at its peak, which makes my skin go crazy. As we all know, one of the basic steps for a clean and healthy skin is using the right facial wash. So last week, I ran out of my facial wash and went to the Boots pharmacy, where I decided to try out Botanics Shine Away Mattifying Cleansing Mousse. The word ‘mattifying’ attracted me the most as my skin becomes too oily during summers. Keep on reading to know how it worked for my skin.

How to Use:
Pump foam into hand and apply to face and neck. Rinse well with warm water after use.

My Experience with Boots Botanics Shine Away Mattifying Cleansing Mousse:
The white coloured bottle comes with a pump packaging, which is very convenient to use and store. It pumps out the adequate amount of product, which is sufficient for the entire face and neck. The mousse is as light as a feather and you do not feel you are putting anything hard or greasy on your face. The pump itself is very sturdy and the product manages to remove light makeup when tested.
It’s got a mild and refreshing fragrance which is not at all overpowering. In fact, it’s quite soothing. I have been using it for about 15 days and I quite like it. I find this leaves my skin super soft with no tightness and really does get rid of the excess oil on the face. I use this every morning in the shower and now I don’t have to use my blotting papers during the day as much as I used to.
I have also noticed a reduction in my whiteheads and blackheads. I wouldn’t say it has helped with my existing acne or acne spots but I need to use it for a longer time period to see such results. I have sensitive skin and it hasn’t irritated it at all, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin.

If you suffer from oily skin, especially in the hot summer months, then I would definitely recommend this cleanser. It’s cheap enough, so if you don’t enjoy using it then it’s not a huge loss. Hope this review is useful.
