If you have ever been to Boots UK, you would notice their all-white in-house makeup brand called “Natural Collection.” This is not to be confused with the Collection makeup that is another brand that’s popular in Superdrug and Boots UK. On my very first trip to UK, I picked up some very basic natural collection stuff which was very cost-effective. So last year, I paid the counter another visit and got some more Natural Collection makeup, like loose powder and a few basic red lipsticks. This lipstick is a part of that haul.

My Experience with Boots Crimson Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick:
This lipstick comes in a very simple white casing with a neat colored label at the bottom which is very helpful. The price justifies it all. And if it is Boots, you tend to trust the brand too. The lipstick appears so gentle and this range is suitable for lighter peaches and cream skin tones. You would hardly find a darker color there, nail colors are all pale and shimmery too, but certain reds are universal.
“Crimson” is a pink-based red. This is not a shade for warm skin tones, try it if you have some pink tone to your skin, or add a pink blusher with it. This is a very cool-toned red, with no shimmer, it’s a cream finish lipstick.
The shape of the bullet is very annoying, they haven’t changed it in the past five years. Whichever side of the bullet you would use, it would break up with pressure. It would also not give you a precise lip finish.
The color feels a bit waxy, the texture is medium, not too thick but still needs two swipes for good color payoff. It does not transfer much and does not have any peculiar scent either. It is best applied thickly with a lip brush. Dry lips would feel comfortable wearing this lipstick. True to its name, it lends a moisture shine to the lips. With this lipstick, you would get 2-3 hours of wear time.
They also have some basic shades of pink in this range and another range called “Natural Sheer Finish” with natural day wear shades.

Would I Recommend Boots Crimson Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick?
For Indian skin tones, stick to warm reds, skip this one.
