Hope you are doing great. I am a lazy bum when it comes to removing my makeup, but it is a ritual I can’t compromise on since I wear loads of kajal and colored liners. I got this inexpensive eye makeup remover pads from Boots. Find out whether I would recommend it or not.

My Experience with Boots Essentials Eye Makeup Remover Pads:

Packaging: These makeup remover pads come enclosed in a small tub. The tub is simple and fuss free, made of sturdy plastic and has a blue screw on lid. It doesn’t have much product details except product name, brand details and manufacturing. I find it a convenient tub to carry, however, repeated exposure to air during opening the tub causes the oil soaked pads to dry up slightly.

The pads are white, circular and soaked in oil. Initially, the oil content was more, and it felt drenched in oil, but with repeated opening and closing, the oil kind of dissipated slightly. In a way, I like the slightly drier versions more. These have enough oil, yet do not cause ‘very soaked in oil’ feeling.

The pads are meant for removing eye makeup. But I use it for all kinds of makeup as I am often reluctant to look for a separate cleanser. This is the first step of my cleansing routine. Since I have oily skin, I was skeptical about it causing irritation on my skin or leading to breakouts. Well, it didn’t cause any.

One pad is enough to remove a simple winged liner and eyeshadow. On days I have heavy mascara and thick kohl, I need two. You can use both the sides to get your job done. I use one side to remove liquid lipsticks, which are difficult to remove using micellar water or ordinary cleansers. Oil-based removers break down the product and take them off.

It definitely makes your skin oily and greasy, and you might want to wash your face with water (if you have dry skin) or use a face wash (for oily skin). I find it a hassle free and convenient way of removing my eye makeup and lip makeup, without having to search for cotton balls and makeup removers.
