Boots Honey & Oatmeal Conditioner Review

Boots Honey & Oatmeal Conditioner

Helllooo 🙂

This is my second review here. I been a follower of IMBB and usually I come here and read the reviews and then I make a purchase. Argh I been having a bad year, started with a terrible break out I got from my Bridal Make up(yup I went to a famous salon and I am allergic to almost all the products but MAC works fine and they promised me they are using MAC but they did not!! ,though when I went for the trial they used MAC and on the engagement day they didn’t and it was too late for me to change  so I got a break out so bad  it looked like chicken pox marks ;( then I was constantly on the look out for a product which will clear that for me, tried so many products but nothing worked. And then I read Rati’s review on fab india depigmentation cream and it worked ;)It really cleared my skin to a major extent . So, once my skin starting behaving well my hair started going crazy… argh on top of all that I gained around 10 kgs 🙁 ohhh… and just when my hair started getting used to Delhi water, I have to move to Pondicherry Ohhh ok enough beating around the bush, let me come to my review.

I have heard a lot of good reviews about Boots esp. from my friends abroad. The product is not easily available in India, but these days I guess its available in online shopping sites. I couldn’t decide between the sea weed conditioner and this one but ended up picking this one as it said dry and damaged hair and I was sold.

Packaging

It comes in 600ml bottle , a simple plastic container with a flip cap.

Price:

INR 625

Ingredients:

My experience with Boots Honey & Oatmeal Conditioner:

You know how it happens that you have a lot of expectation from a product and you buy it and then it just doesn’t live up to the hype.. well lets say now I have 600 ml product sitting in my washroom and I have no idea what to do with. If it was a shampoo I would have atleast used it for pedicure. The conditioner is orange in color and very creamy and thick in consistency. It spreads easily and can be washed off in like 2-3 washes and doesn’t leave a residue. Well that sums up the pros. The first thing I noticed was the smell ohh it has a very strong cheap perfume smell the moment I applied it to my hair my head started aching, I am not exaggerating thats how bad the smell is.Once, I rinsed it ou my hair actually felt smooth and no tangles. But once it started drying to my horror I realised that the conditioner did exactly the opposite of what it claimed, my hair was super duper dry fish in the curry dish  . And the smell well it stays for almost an hour though no that strong. But I still found it annoying.

I wanted to try again and this time the result was a little better . Yes after washing, my hair was still dry but not like the last time. Also there is no bounce or shine to my hair after using this.

Pros of Boots Honey & Oatmeal Conditioner:

  • Easy to use.
  • The bottle is travel friendly.
  • And  to an extent detangles your hair.

Cons of Boots Honey & Oatmeal Conditioner:

  • The smell causes head ache.
  • It dries your hair.
  • There is no shine or bounce which I feel is important in a conditioner.

Well when you look at the price its pretty decent for 600ml, the quantity is huge. So maybe I will try the other conditioners from Boots.

Do I recommend Boots Honey & Oatmeal Conditioner?

… hmm no I guess you can give it a pass. For me maybe I will use it once a while after oiling my hair .
