Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Night Cream Review

Hi IMBB,

As I mentioned in my last review, today I will be reviewing the No7 Protect and Perfect Night Cream.  I have already reviewed the day cream from this range, so you can check out that review if you are interested. Like the day cream, this night cream is also a travel-sized version that came in a set along with other products. If you would like to know what my thoughts are about this product, please keep on reading!

Help your skin get a restful night’s sleep with this revitalising night time formula, targeting the first signs of ageing. Created to be used with our Protect and Perfect Serum to help deliver even better results than the serum alone. Containing Matrixyl.

My Experience with Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Night Cream:

The night cream is very similar to the day cream in a number of ways. It has a similar fragrance and since it is part of the same range, it has also been designed to deal with the first signs of ageing. Once again, I have not noticed it improving any signs of ageing since I don’t have any lines or wrinkles to begin with. What it does do is thoroughly moisturise and hydrate my skin, without feeling too heavy or thick on the skin. It is lighter than the day cream, which is understandable since it does not contain SPF. Although I did mention that the day cream blends in easily, the night cream blends in even better because the formula and the texture is a lot lighter.

My skin does not look greasy or oily and the cream dries down to a matte finish, which I really like. Like the day cream, this cream also has a fragrance and I normally steer clear from such products because the fragrance can aggravate my sensitive skin; however, I have not found this to be a problem on my skin. I just wanted to let you guys know that if your skin can react to fragranced products, this might not be the product for you.

Since this cream is so light, it feels as if my skin is “breathing” and it definitely doesn’t feel as if too much product is weighing it down.  I like how this cream leaves my skin feeling because when I wake up my skin feels very soft and moisturised. My skin definitely absorbs this product very well.

I also like how only a little amount of product is needed to cover my entire face, so I have found that this little travel-sized version lasts me a long time as I don’t use much product with each use.

Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Night Cream

The full-sized version of the night cream is slightly more expensive than the full-sized version of the day cream, it is £23 and like the day cream, it comes in a tub. I already mentioned in my last review that I much rather prefer the tube packaging of the travel size as I think it is more sanitary. If you would also like to check out the other reasons why I don’t like creams packaged in tubs, you can go and read my previous post on the No7 day cream. Similar to the day cream, I have noticed that this cream also contains a lot of chemical ingredients; however, it does contain fewer ingredients than the day cream.

Pros of Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Night Cream:

  • Not too thick.
  • Blends into the skin easily.
  • Leaves the skin feeling very soft and moisturized.
  • Little goes a long way.

Cons of Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Night Cream:

  • Full size is quite expensive.
  • Has fragrance (might aggravate some sensitive skin).
  • Contains a lot of chemical ingredients.

Would I Repurchase Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Night Cream?

The same answer as the day cream, I don’t think so, I would like to try other alternatives which are aimed for my skin and also don’t contain so many harsh chemicals!

I think No7 skin care products are really great, from what I have tried anyway and they don’t aggravate my skin. The only downfalls are is that they can tend to be a little pricey and also contain a lot of ingredients, which I want to try and stay away from and instead use more natural products. However, this is a brand that I can trust when it comes to skin care and I know that I’ll be tempted to try more products from them! Thank you all for reading my review and I’ll be back shortly with another one!
