Skin-tone: Fair to medium
As you all know my love for lip crayons is unconditional. I got a lot of lip crayons a few months back and got just one from Boots because this was slightly expensive as compared to the other drugstore brands that I picked up. I picked the shade “Statement”, so scroll to see how it worked for me.

My Experience with Boots No7 Statement High Shine Lip Crayon:
Packaging: The lip crayon comes in a charcoal black packaging with colour coded cap and base. The cap and base comes in red colour which makes it easy to spot this if you own a few. The name is written over the packaging itself on a small label. The bullet is perfectly shaped as well for quick and easy application. The lip crayon is very handy to shove it in the bag. There were a lot of shades to choose from; somewhere around 10 shades but I wanted a natural red, so I picked this one. The price of this one is pretty high as compared to the other lip crayons from drugstore brands.
Texture, shade and feel on the lips: The texture of the lip crayon is very buttery and goes super smooth on my lips. The lip crayon is a bit waxy but does not feel heavy on the lips at all. It goes very light and hydrating on the lips. The shade “Statement” is a muted red colour which is not very bright and bold. It is a good substitute if you do not dare wearing bold reds. It is a very natural looking red with loads of micro shimmers that add a glossy shine. The shade is perfect for office and college goers as well. The buttery texture gives amazing hydration to my lips and keeps them nourished all day long as well.
Staying power: The lip crayon stays for an average of 2-3 hours on my lips followed by a nice natural red stain. It transfers a little initially when it is glossy but then it settles down. It does not settle in fine lines nor does it cling to dry patches. I expected it to stay for a couple of hours more since the price is high for a lip crayon but it faded away quite sooner than expected. These are “okay” ones, they worked very well but we have loads of other options to try too.
Pros of Boots No7 Statement High Shine Lip Crayon:
• Colour coded base and cap.
• Handy and variety of shades available to choose from.
• Buttery soft consistency which glides very smoothly on the lips.
• Natural red colour which looks super cute.
• Micro shimmers to give a glossy shine.
• Hydrates dry lips.
• Treats mildly chapped lips to a good extent.
• Lip balm stays for 2-3 hours followed by a light stain.
Cons of Boots No7 Statement High Shine Lip Crayon:
• Very expensive for a drugstore lip crayon.
• Average performance just like the cheaper lip crayons.
• I wish it was without shimmers.
• Limited availability in India.
IMBB Rating: 3.8/5
Will I Repurchase/Recommend Boots No7 Statement High Shine Lip Crayon?
No I wouldn’t! I have used a lot of lip crayons and they came at extremely cheap rates. 9 GBP is too high to pay for a lip crayon from a drugstore brand.
Conclusion: I wish I had picked the plum shade from this range, it looks very gorgeous.
