Some products are bought on trial basis. This was one of them. I was suffering from breakouts and my skin had become really oily. I hate retouching my makeup and expect it to last as long as I am outside the house. The heat just melted my makeup away. That was when I asked my sister to buy some kind of shine control moisturizer before she returned to India. She bought the Boots Shine Control Day Moisturizer for me and one for herself too. I have been using this for the last 20 days and the product has surely lived upto my expectations.

What the company claims about Boots Shine Control Day Moisturizer:
This light non-greasy Shine Control Day Moisturizer contains antibacterial Tea Tree Oil and skin calming Witch Hazel to help keep your skin clear and healthy by:
• lightly moisturizing and caring for your skin without blocking pores.
• blotting up excess oil and controlling shine.
• blending in invisibly and providing a matte make-up base.
My experience with Boots Shine Control Day Moisturizer:
The moisturizer comes in a transparent plastic squeezee bottle. The fragrance of the moisturizer is very pleasant. It smells like a combination of tea tree and witch hazel. The colour of the moisturizer in a pale greyish green. The texture is not too thick but instead tends to be a little runny. It spreads on really smoothly.
On application the face starts looking oily. The moisturizer takes about 5 minutes to settle down which is really long. But after it is completely absorbed it leaves a completely matte finish on the face. The moisturizer is very light and does not make it greasy at all. The moisturizer makes the skin soft and moisturized. Infact it makes the skin feel silky. The moisturizer can safely be used under the makeup as a base. I have used this moisturizer for quite sometime now and it has not broken me out. I think the tea tree helps fight blemishes while the witch hazel works like an astringent on your skin to tighten pores and remove excess oil. The blemishes on my skin have reduced slightly.
Since I have a combination skin, the moisturizer is perfect on warm humid days but on the cold wintery days it makes my skin a little dry.
Pros of Boots Shine Control Day Moisturizer:

• Moisturises and the face smooth and silky

• Ideal to use as makeup base.
• Makes the makeup last longer than it would
