I personally prefer gel facial cleansers over foam cleansers because I find that the gel cleansers are more efficient at removing dirt and at cleansing skin. Foam cleansers, on the other hand, have higher moisture content and are unable to remove impurities as satisfactorily as I desire. Foam cleansers are good to use on the days that I don’t wear makeup, but on days that I wear makeup, I prefer gel cleansers.
