Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel Review

Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel Review

IMBB Sponsored Product Review

Hello cupcakes,

I wear makeup everyday as it is my hobby and I feel liberated after creating a beautiful look. Every day, I get up with an excitement to put on makeup and use various products and colours to achieve various looks. As much as I love applying makeup and playing with it, it is a tedious task to get rid of makeup before going to sleep. I use an oil-based makeup remover for the eyes and for rest of the face, I depend on La Roche-Posay Toleriane Softening Foaming Gel which is sans chemical and preservatives. I recently got this Boscia cleanser as a sponsored product from IMBB and have been using it for quite some time to remove my makeup, after which I follow my CTM.

My Experience with Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel:

This cleanser comes in a lovely white bottle with a pump dispenser which dispenses just the right amount for the whole face. The bottle is very basic but sturdy. The consistency is very gel like but not too runny. It is a clear transparent gel which lathers very well and forms enough foam that I can use my Clarisonic easily at one wash.

It’s a very gentle cleanser and removes makeup nicely. It instantly removes face makeup, but eye makeup requires a bit more effort. For me, it’s not a problem at all because as I have mentioned earlier I always use an oil-based remover to get rid of my eye makeup to avoid unnecessary tugging and pulling of the delicate eye area.

Here I have tested the product on MAC’s Russian Red, which is a highly pigmented lipstick and which stays put for hours.

I am also in love with the natural and pleasant fragrance of this cleanser. It’s not at all “perfume-y” and chemical, it’s very organic and refreshing and awakens my senses in the morning hours.  As it is formulated without chemicals and preservatives, I use it in the morning time also. I must say within a few days of purchase, I have started reaching for this cleanser a lot as I like the way it makes my skin feel and awakens my senses with a soothing fragrance.  My skin feels well balanced and hydrated, not to oily or dry. As this cleanser is meant for all skin types, I was pretty confused about the way it will perform on my combination skin, but it leaves it supple and hydrated. I hate cleansers that are meant for oily and combination skin and suck the moisture out of the skin and make it feel like a desert.

To test this cleanser, I skipped my night time moisturizer and in the morning my skin felt hydrated and supple, not dry at all. I can easily say that this cleanser is for all skin types. I also like the fact that it has no harmful chemicals and that’s what makes it a lovely product. I mean I already apply a lot of chemicals every day in terms of makeup and want to be as natural as possible when it comes to skin care, sounds ironic, but that’s the truth.

I find it to be a lovely everyday cleanser and the fact that it removes makeup and doesn’t have horrible ingredients in it is definitely a bonus. Being a preservative free cleanser, it works amazingly well.

Pros of Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel:

  • Good natural ingredients.
  • Removes makeup effectively.
  • 100% preservative free.
  • Hygienic dispenser.
  • Lathers well.
  • Leaves skin feeling soft and supple.
  • Good for all skin types.
  • Amazing refreshing fragrance that encourages relaxation.
  • Makeup remover plus cleanser, a 2-in-1 product which is rare.
  • Maintains the skins pH balance of the skin.
  • Does not leave any residue on the skin and makes it super clean.

Cons of Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel:

  • Needs a bit more effort for eye makeup removal, but I use an oil-based remover for that anyway.

I have not noticed any pore reduction as mentioned on the website, but I know for visible results, I have to use a particular product continuously for three months.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5
