Bourjois Bio-Detox Foundation Review

Bourjois Bio-Detox Foundation

Hello ladies

Today I am reviewing a foundation which I purchased recently on sale. I am not that much of a foundation person as I live on tinted moisturizers but for some special occasions, I definitely like something that gives me a polished look and medium coverage. This foundation has some really bad and some really good reviews on the net so let’s see which side we are on: P

Price: Rs. 1225 for 30 ml but I got it on sale: D

My experience with Bourjois Bio-Detox Foundation:

I picked up the shade beige Clair from the Bio-Detox line. The shades available in this foundation are 51 vanilla Clair, 52 vanille, 53 beige Clair, 55 beige fonce, 56 hale Clair, and 57 hale. First let me tell you what attracted me to this foundation. Obviously the 97 % natural ingredients: D. We all love anything which makes us feel more natural and contains least possible amount of harmful chemicals. This foundations claims to detoxify the skin and filter all the pollution, forget if the claims are true, but just the thought of a foundation which detoxifies the skin makes me all happy, my skin type is a bit dry in winter and combination in summers.

When I first applied this foundation, it made my skin feel a bit stretchy and dry. The coverage was medium which is what I need and the finish was very natural but it felt a bit dry. Next time I tried this foundation on a nicely moisturized face and voila!! It gave the most natural finish which didn’t scream out loud that “yes I put foundation on my face”! The finish was a bit streaky for the first half an hour of application but then settled into a very natural “my skin but better” kind of finish. This foundation does not contains silicone so blending is a bit tough but if you use a nice moisturizer before using it then there is no such problem. The staying power is amazing as it stays for the whole day on me in an ac environment but might be a little less if you spend more time outdoors.

Bourjois Bio-DetoxFoundation

Also, I have tried using this foundation as a tinted moisturizer mixed with my regular moisturizer and it gives the perfect dewy skin which I love in winters. Overall, a great buy for combination to oily skinned girls and for dry skin, I think there are far better foundations but if u already have it, mixing it with a bit of moisturizer would work great!!

Pros of Bourjois Bio-Detox Foundation:

• First has to be that it contains 98 % ingredients derived from natural origin.
• Gives very natural finish as a foundation and when used as a tinted moisturizer.
• Medium coverage.
• Stays all day.
• Very nice shade selection.
• Claims to detoxify skin and filter pollution.

Cons of Bourjois Bio-Detox Foundation:

• You will hate it at first…but please give it a second chance and a moisturized face. Since it does not contain silicones, it will not blend instantly like your usual foundations.
• No SPF.
• Not that great for dry skin but will be functional when used with a moisturizer.
• Takes half an hour to settle into the skin for a great finish.
• Pricey when bought on full price.

IMBB rating: – 4.5/5 for the price I got it for and for me as a combination skin but overall 4/5.

At last, if you get a sample at your store, do try this foundation once…I am sure you will like it.
