Bourjois Cream Blush #3 Rose Tender Review

Bourjois Cream Blush #3 Rose Tender

Hi Beauties,

Crème Blushes were the flavour of the month late last year. As usual, these got introduced in India a bit late, and by then, the summer was already on its way. Though I was very interested in these crème blushes as soon as they were launched (I first saw the lovely Chanel ones- on Lisa Eldridge channel and on IMBB), it wasn’t until few weeks back that I actually bought these kinds of blushes. For me, Chanel represents an epitome of all make up and fragrance products, but the limited availability and price factor have always been a deterrent for me getting more of these. As you might have seen from my previous reviews, I am very much fond of the brand Bourjois. Bourjois is actually a sister concern of Chanel. But did you know that Bourjois was actually founded in the late 1800s, and Chanel came into the picture with Coco Chanel requesting Bourjois to launch her perfumes in 1930s. Today, Chanel is a much bigger brand. But it actually started off with Bourjois owning Chanel, and not the other way round.

I have always loved Bourjois; their lipsticks, foundations, mascaras, eye shadows, nail enamels and all other stuff have been a favourite of mine since ages. Now that the summer is receding, and we are gradually entering into the colder part of the year, I decided to buy a few crème blushes. I was a complete novice regarding its application and all, and I decided to forgo very high end brands during my first attempt into crème blushes. Instead, during my recent tour to UK, I saw Bourjois crème blushes, at quite reasonable price, and bought two of them. I got the shades #2 Natural Glow, and #3 Rose Tender. I have been using these since last few weeks and I am now ready to review these for you.

My experience with Bourjois Cream Blush #3 Rose Tender:

This was my first experience with a cream blush. I did not know what to expect. The blush comes in a small, sleek and compact round pot, whose color is the same as the shade inside. All details are written on the pot. The pot has a nice magnetic closure…so not chance of any mishaps happening. They have also included a mirror into this small packaging, which, though small, is actually helpful for touch-ups. The blush is made of sturdy material, and can be carried easily in your purse. There is no brush included, which anyways is not even required. It looks just like the famous little round pot blush from the outside, just a bit flatter.

The shade is a very pretty pink n*de shade. It is cool toned, but looks just as lovely on my cheeks as well. On my cheeks, it looks a nice, dusky pink shade with a nice luminosity. It has subtle silver micro shimmer in it, which does not show on the cheeks at all, but gives a very healthy and radiant glow to the skin. It has a very nice creamy feel to it, which, on application, instantly turns into a fine powdery finish. It feels very silky and can be applied and blended very easily on to the cheeks. The finish is semi matte. It gives a nice glow to my face…and does not look very obvious. In fact, it looks extremely natural on me.
The pigmentation is good, but not very intense, which is actually a good thing (especially for beginners like me), since you can build up the color slowly on your cheeks without going overboard. It can be applied with a duo-fibre stippling brush, or with your fingers. I found it more easy and comfortable applying it with my fingers.

It lasts for a long time, around 8-10 hours, with slight fading. Even on fading, it leaves a very nice natural flush on the cheeks. I have worn it in day time also, and it looks very lovely and appropriate even for office hours. Since I got this, I have been using these cream blushes exclusively. I am totally hooked on to them, and am now keeping them for the winters to come. I just hope that by next winters, these get launched in India as well. The only problem I found with these is that, all the shades (except maybe the last one) may not show at all on dusky beauties.

Will I recommend Bourjois Cream Blush #3 Rose Tender?

For fair to medium skin beauties, definitely. Dusky skin beauties should try it out first before buying it. I am waiting for it to launch in India, and would want them to launch more shades suitable for Indian skin tones. This will be a lovely addition to your make up kit, and you can wear it during office hours as well without going overboard and without the added tension of the blush fading off.

  1. I have never tried cream blushes, the weather and my limited knowledge has kept my hands away from them rofl though i really want to have them but are they blend able and convenient to use? for the product, Bourjois is no doubt amazing. it is just the really exaggerated price tags in pakistan that keep me away from hoarding the brand stuff, love the shade and the perfection you put in to blend it *clap*

    1. Hi sumera thanks dear. Even I was a novice at this…. But since i got this…. I just cant get enough of these….. I think these r more convinient to apply than a powder blush…. And since u r using ur fingers….. U can always control how much u want to put on…..these r real easy
