My Experience with Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick Happy Nude Year 09:
This lipstick comes housed in a see-through rectangular plastic bottle with a color-coordinated twist-up cap. The name of the brand and product is printed on the front and shade name is printed on the label on the back. The applicator is a standard doe-foot wand and offers precise application.
As I have mentioned above, this range is my top pick from drugstore for liquid lipsticks. I absolutely love this formula, it reminds me a lot of NYX Soft Matte lip creams. The consistency is mousse-y and creamy.
Happy N*de Year is very pigmented and goes smoothly on the lips. It’s very hydrating and comfortable on the lips and doesn’t dry out the lips through the wear. The shade “Happy N*de Year” is a very pretty, peachy pinky n*de shade which would look flattering on all skin tones and is perfect for everyday wear.
It would also last pretty well on the lips and leaves a stain behind. It doesn’t dry fully matte on the lips and offers a slight sheen finish. These do wear off while eating, but due to the stain, your lips won’t look flat and bare. Without eating or drinking, it lasts for 7 to 8 hours on my lips.
