Hi Beauties,

I am so sad to be finally finishing off the review of this series of lipsticks. These liquid lipsticks have been one of the best I have tried and owned…and I have loved each and every one of them. These lipsticks have been released in 8 shades of reds, pinks and browns. I have bought six of them, and only my hard held conscience is stopping me from buying the rest two shades. I am not a fan of n*de lipsticks. I rarely, if ever buy them; and even then, use them very sparingly. I had actually liked this shade when I first saw it…but seeing it was a n*de shade, I desisted. When I called up my relative to send me this lipstick from UK, she was actually speechless for a moment. But she was kind enough to send me this one; and a few other goodies (YAY!!!). I have been deferring the moment when I would actually use it, but decided that if I had to write this review, I had to start somewhere. Hence, I started using it once, then again, then again, and again…OMG, this is one of the best n*de shades I have ever owned, and it would have been a real mistake had I not bought it. So you all know now….YES!!!! I am in love…with a n*de shade. I have met my match.

My experience with Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick Nud-ist  :

N*de lip colors are something which is extremely useful; yet I could never in my heart, accept them or love them. I bought this shade after having a wonderful experience with the other shades in this range. And it has completely bowled me over.

This shade, like the others, comes in a square shaped tube packaging, with a doe shaped sponge applicator. It is a liquid lipstick; and the color of the lid corresponds to the color inside.
The shade “Nude-ist” is a lovely pinkish to slight reddish brown shade. It is an extremely pretty color and applies exactly as the color in the tube. The formula is perfect, non-streaky, and will cover the most pigmented lips as well.

The pigmentation is intense, with excellent color payoff. It does not feather, nor bleed. It feels moisturising and shiny for the first 5-10 minutes, and then settles down to a complete soft, matte, velvety finish. It is a very soft, light and powdery kind of matte lipstick, which does not sit on lip lines or exaggerate them at all. Even after it sets, it never, ever feels dry on the lips.
It stains the lips completely, and does not feel heavy on the lips at all. In fact, it does not feel like you have put on a lipstick at all. You can actually forget about it for the rest of the day. It is completely transfer resistant. Although the shine will become dull after a few hours, the stain remains intact. I have tested it for 12 hours, with meals in between, and it has not budged from its place at all. The color may start looking a bit dull, but you can always reapply it, without going overboard.
It is non-shimmery, and does not change its color or darken afterapplication. It does not dry out the lips during the entire time it stays, and also after its removal. The application is smooth, the smell is a bit chemical like floral (but does not stay after application) and the staying power is excellent
I am so glad I decided to purchase this one. I would have really missed out on something great. This shade will not wash out any complexions.

Yes, I will. This is the perfect n*de shade for all skin tones. It will not wash you out or make you look dull at all. Yet, it is extremely appropriate for office wear, and will suit every person. This is a must-have shade. After all, it has made a convert out of me as well.
