Brocato Curlinterrupted Smoothing and Hydrating Shampoo Review

I am back with a hair product this time – I recently bought the Straight Out Fabulous kit containing a few products from this brand which caught my attention online. I have dry, wavy and frizzy hair and it’s a nightmare to manage! The “Curlinterrupted” range claims to tame frizz and smoothen and hydrate it so that your hair is soft and without any fly-aways.  I will first be reviewing the shampoo. Read on to know if I liked it!

The bottle is tiny and cute – it has a flat flip-top cap and is packaged in a simple black and white with some interesting graphics. Once you open the cap, the smell is light and not too strong like in some shampoos.

Price:

Rs. 1275/- for 300 ml.

Product Claims:

This relaxing shampoo is perfect for cleaning and taming coarse, curly or frizzy hair. It’s the first step in Brocato’s regimen designed for hair that requires softening and smoothing.

Ingredients:

What I loved about the ingredients is that it doesn’t have sulphates or parabens and is cruelty free too! I used this a few times after oiling my hair, leaving it on for half an hour and then shampooing. It doesn’t lather a lot, which could be a con for most of us since we are used to getting lots of lather to be convinced our scalps get squeaky clean. In reality though, it’s actually good if it doesn’t lather a lot because it means it doesn’t have sulphates or detergents.

The shampoo is white, just like the packaging, and smells pleasant. I normally use shampoo twice on hair in one wash, and this definitely left my scalp and hair feeling refreshed and clean. What I didn’t like though, was how after just 2 days, my hair and scalp would get greasy again :/ I’m also a bit wary of the price, because I can get John Frieda for less. It made my hair a lot softer, but not as much as John Frieda stuff does, but then, I realize this doesn’t have many harmful ingredients, so in the long run, it would prove better for me. So, that way, I think it’s a good shampoo for those with relatively coarse, tangled or rough hair. However, since this isn’t easily available (I found it online on two sites, never seen it in shops) that may be a problem.

Cons of Brocato Curlinterrupted Smoothing and Hydrating Shampoo:

• Hair gets greasy in just two days after shampooing.
• The price.
• Limited availability.

Would I Repurchase Brocato Curlinterrupted Smoothing and Hydrating Shampoo?

Overall, I really liked the product, so I might give it a try again.
