My Experience with Bumble and Bumbler Straight Blow Dry
I have almost finished using this blow dry product trying to figure out what exactly I don’t like about this product. It’s been a while I used this product and then I used it again a few more time recently to review it. Every time my hair look crap after using this. 😛
to start with I have pretty straight hair. After regular washing there are a little waves in my hair left that my trusty hair straightener takes care of. Luckily I have quite fuss free hair. On most days I can pretty much do with a bit of serum and a rough blow dry. So when I saw this product at Sephora, I got greedy. 😛 I thought that it would be pretty cool if I didn’t have to use straighteners as well since it is a hair straightening product. I was wrong.
It is a lightweight cream. You run it through damp hair and blow dry your hair. Honestly, it does not get rid of any waves through my hair. To add it, my hair also look and feel dry after using it. It weighs down my hair and takes away all the volume. May be it is supposed to work for someone who has very thick hair and can make it more manageable. It did not work for me at all. I have tried using it myself. I have asked my hairstylist to use it on my hair thinking that I might be using it wrong. My hairstylist has refused to use it anymore on my hair. He says that this product takes away all the life from his otherwise awesome blow-dry. 😛 I don’t want to say it but it makes my hair look like straws. loll!! I have tried using straighteners and it only makes my hair look lacklustre.
It comes in this nice tube and with a twist cap. I have travelled with it and I think it is a brilliant packaging.
The only plus point would be that it keeps frizz away. Well! even my serum can take care of that. Sigh! Also, it also doubles up as a heat protectant. A little goes a long way so one tube lasts you long. If you use a lot, it would weigh down your hair. In my case it weighs down my hair with little amount as well.
Anyhoo, a total no-no from my side. That said, I remember the SA at Sephora Paris telling me that it is one of their best sellers and women love this product. Thinking of that , it could be that difference of weather, or texture of hair in general between India and European countries that this didn’t work for me.
