When I noticed that Burberry was releasing their cream eyeshadows, I was super excited to try them. Since I love Burberry’s makeup line, I was sure that I am gonna love these as well. Burberry focuses more on everyday neutral look. They offer very neutral shades in their cream eyeshadows. There are total of 8 shades in the range. The shade that I will be reviewing today is “Charcoal.”

My Experience with Burberry Charcoal No.114 Eye Colour Cream:
The eye colour cream comes packaged in a square glass jar with a plastic gunmetal cap. The cap has the iconic Burberry check design on it. This eyeshadow comes with a brush which is not of that great quality. The name of the brand is printed on the front of the jar and the shade name on the bottom of the jar. Overall, the packaging is luxe and you get what you pay for.
The shade “Charcoal” is an intense smoke grey shade which will look good on every skin tone. This shade does have blue micro glitters which do not show prominently on the skin but gives a slight sheen on the lid. This can be worn as a wash of colour or can be build up to create a dramatic evening look.
The texture on Burberry eye cream colour is somewhat similar to Chanel Illusion d’ombre. They feel soft and cushiony. They feel like clay, but still are quite smooth and creamy to the touch. When applied to the lids, they feel velvety and glides on very easily.
This shadow sets into a powdery finish with a slight sheen. The Burberry cream shadow blends like a dream and gives the most natural look. It can be applied with a finger or with a brush, I prefer using finger to apply and then blend the edges with a fluffy blending brush.
The lasting power of this shadow is good, it lasts for 9 hours on my lids and I don’t notice any creasing, transfer or fading. When it comes to pigmentation, this is not insanely pigmented, but it’s quite buildable so you can apply and manage according to your preference.
This shadow offers a soft wash of colour, so if you don’t like that, you won’t like this one, but I love this for day wear.
