Burberry Light Crimson 517 Full Kisses Review

I know this one also is a lipstick review. 🙂 This lipstick belongs to one of my favourite brands, Burberry. This summer Burberry launched its new lipstick range called the ‘Full Kisses’. This review is about the shade ‘Light Crimson 517.

My Experience with Burberry Light Crimson 517 Full Kisses:

Burberry Full Kisses comes housed in a beautiful, gunmetal retractable tube with the iconic Burberry indentation all over the tube. The bullet has a slant cut to it which helps to get precise application. Since the bullet can’t be fully retracted I have to be careful while putting and removing the lid. The name of the shade is mentioned at the bottom. Overall, it’s a simple yet stylish packaging.

This Burberry Full Kisses range offers intensely pigmented lipsticks. The formula of these lipsticks feels very lightweight on the lips. These lipsticks impart a shiny finish on the lips and have a slight slick. This lipstick has a creamy and smooth texture but it does not bleed or feather. It does not tug or pull the lips during application.

The wear time is around 2 to 3 hours; but throughout that time period, the lipstick feels very moisturising and hydrating on the lips. After this time period, this lipstick leaves a stain behind on the lips. I need not swipe the bullet over and over again as it gives opaque pigmentation in one swipe. Since the formula is creamy and forgiving, you can skip prior lip exfoliation.

The shade Light Crimson is a warm pinky coral shade that will suit a variety of skin tones. This shade is flattering. You can even wear this shade to the office, or pair it with neutral eye makeup. This is a highly pigmented shade but it fades away after one heavy meal.

One thing that I don’t like about this range of lipsticks is the packaging. Since these are very creamy lipsticks and I do not find the bullets sturdy enough, the bullet might end up get damaged or even come off.
