My Experience with Burberry Lip Velvet Long Wearing Lipsticks :

I picked up two lipsticks from the range.

Military Red 310: A stunning warm dark red. It is a universally flattering red color. It’s the kind of red that instantly brightens your complexion and adds a bit of life to your face. I call it my happy red. 😀

Pink Amber 306 : Pink amber is a gorgeous warm pink with a hint of coral undertones. It’s the kind of neutral that does not wash out color from your face and adds a little brightness to the skin. A lovely everyday color.

The packaging is gorgeous matte grey with Burberry’s plaid embossed both on the lipstick and the casing. There is a satisfactory magnetic closure to the lipsticks. Totally love it.

The texture of the lipsticks is super soft and it feel very cushion(y) on the lips. It’s a very comfortable wear and does not feel drying at all. They are not moisturizing but neither drying. It feels very light comfortable, and nice on lips.

The finish is satiny matte. It looks pretty matte after an hour or so but freshly applied there is a subtle shine. It finish actually looks quite good and makes lips look plumper and healthier.

The staying power is incredible. For both the lipsticks, they stay on pretty much I completely remove them with a makeup remover – 7 hours stay with even fading and pretty much surviving the meals.The Military Red stays in longer and more saturated as compared to the Amber Rose.

The pigmentation of both the lipsticks is semi opaque to buildable. These lipsticks layer up beautifully with caking

They don’t smudge or smear or settle in fine lines. These transfer very less.

Mt favourite way of wearing Military Red is in combination with Burberry’s Red Lip Liner. I feel the lipliner gives more richness and depth to the color.

These lipsticks have rosy fragrance to them but no taste. The fragrance fades away after a while.

The only and the only regret is that my Military Red lipstick broke from the edge. 🙁 But i love the color so much that I still use the lipstick with a lip brush. These lipsticks are quite soft and even while applying on the lips, you can feel the soft texture. So even a little pressure could harm the lipstick bullet. Since I have faced the problem, I hope you could take precaution with your Lip Velvets.

Overal, I absssooolutely love these lipsticks. These are one of the most long staying and most comfortable wearing lipsticks I have in my collection.  You’d fall in love with the formula. If you are picking up makeup from Burberry, Lip Velvets are a MUST PICK! 🙂
