My Experience with Burberry Nude Rose 405 Lip Velvet:
The packaging of the lipstick is classy. The lipstick tube is matte charcoal grey in color which looks purely luxurious. The tube bears the brand’s tagline embossed on it at the base.
The tube bears a sticker at the bottom bearing the shade number and name along with some other details. The lipstick tube has a gorgeous pattern on it and closes with a magnetic closure. The lipstick bullet also bears some beautiful pattern engraved on it. Overall, the packaging is just awesome! I am head-over-heels in love with the packaging of this beauty. What to say more!
Being an all-time matte lipstick lover, I keep hunting for matte formulas more rather than crème or glossy finish. This is why I decided to try out lipsticks from the Burberry Lip Velvet range. I chose to opt for this n*de shade as it can be worn on an everyday basis. “N*de Rose” is a beautiful warm-toned n*de pink shade without any shimmer in it.
The shade is just so beautiful and looks amazing with smokey eyes. The lipstick does not have an ultra matte finish, rather it sets to a soft velvety-matte kind of finish. It has a subtle shine when it is freshly applied and later it sets to a soft satiny matte finish. The formula is amazingly pigmented, which gives bold and opaque coverage in two swipes.
So, the color payoff is just amazing. It hides mild pigmentation of the lips, imparting a beautiful opaque finish. The lipstick does not have any significant smell in it. I could barely sniff a very faint vanilla fragrance, which is absolutely not bothersome.
The texture of the lipstick is super smooth. It’s uber creamy and glides on the lips like a dream. It feels ultra comfortable and light on the lips. The formula is extremely moisturizing and hydrating and I do not need any lip balm even after hours of application. My lips never feel dry with this lipstick on. The formula is amazing for dry lips.
It does not smear or feather even upon layering. It does not settle into the fine lines of my lips. I really cannot find any con in this lipstick. The only con is that it’s prone to transfer. Being creamy in nature, the lipstick easily transfers to mugs and goblets.
The longevity of the lipstick is somewhere around 6 hours with constant sipping of water. It does not completely survive meals, but it can easily survive a bit of snacking. The color fades away evenly. Overall, I just love this lipstick.
