Anyway let’s talk about my next Burberry lipstick from Full Kisses collection which seems perfect summery shade for lucky ones who are able to sport it. I personally love such raspberry pink shades though my tanned skin tone and slight uneven finish of this particular shade does not seem going along too well. My Experience with Burberry Peony Rose Full Kisses Lipstick:
I absolutely adore this unique retractable pen packaging with signature Burberry patterns and grey metallic body which adds to the glam and class. It does not have any noticeable fragrance and seems decent for travel as well. I have to take extra care not to bump the tip of bullet with sharper edges of cap still I notice sharp cuts on the tip of lipstick.
My shade “Peony Rose” is defined as soft raspberry pink while it appears carnation pink on my pale skin tone. I have hard luck wearing such carnation pink lipsticks as they seem tricky on my pale and tanned skin tone! However I have no complains sporting it with full face makeup including contouring & highlighting and I often pair it for my run ways. To be precise, it seems perfect for fair toned beauties who are totally into contouring-highlighting game while it may appear tricky on bare skin.
Coming over its formula, it is way creamy and slippery like any cream lipstick which easily glides on my normal dry lips with its lightweight finish. It does appear bit streaky at times and does seem sitting on dry patches at first but it usually self adjusts its finish with multiple swipes. However I am not very impressed by its finish which does appear lightweight and even toned after couple of minutes but it seems tricky for dry and pigmented lips as well. Its buttery formula glides nicely, slightly emphasizing my lip lines and/or dryness with its uneven, streaky finish at first which sets onto slightly better creamy finish with glossy sheen for couple of hours. But no matter what I wear it over, well scrubbed moisturized lips or normal dry lips, it never comes smooth, buttery on lips unlike what I ideally expect from a true creamy formula.
It might require lip liner or lip primer for smooth, saturated and even toned finish while it stays for decent 4-5 hours on lips with heavy transferring. It fades completely after one heavy meal leaving behind faint pink sheen which is easily removable and/or fine for quick touch ups. Considering the not so perfect finish and staying power I feel we are not missing out on anything unique or worth trying by skipping it completely. I feel we do get better creamy glossy-finish lipsticks in market at much lower price rate; hence I don’t think I would anytime consider it in future wish list even. We can definitely make it work with few tricks and tips but it is not even worth the efforts looking at price so it is a “no” for me. Let’s sum up pros and cons:

• A warm summery carnation pink lipstick.
• Buttery soft, light-weight formula.
• Glides nicely on normal dry lips.
• Imparts medium to partially full coverage with2-3 swipes.
• Quite creamy glossy finish.
• Stays for decent 4-5 hours.
• Does not seem overtly drying or melting at room temperature.
• Attractive unique pen packaging.
Cons of Burberry Peony Rose Full Kisses Lipstick:
• Shade tricky for most beauties.
• Might be tricky for deep pigmented lips.
• Finish appears a bit streaky and uneven at times.
• Staying power could have been better.
• Might emphasize dryness of lip lines.
• Transfers heavily.
• Packaging could have been better as well.
• Quite pricey.
