Burberry Pink Mist No. 53 Kisses Gloss Review

How are you doing today? I am back here to share my another Burberry Kisses Lip Gloss shade with you all which is actually not my type of shade. I mean I am more into deep, pigmented lip glosses. Surprisingly the shade looked more pigmented in the packaging, but it turned out to be a translucent, shimmery gloss on my skin tone. So let’s read more about it.

My Experience with Burberry Kisses Pink Mist No 53 Lip Gloss:

The shimmery gloss comes in a familiar transparent plastic tube packaging (please pardon my illusion, after using these glosses in daily life, I have finally realized that these are not glass tubes :P). They have the signature Burberry pattern on its doe foot applicator’s cap. As always, I adore its fluffy and flexible applicator which imparts a even finish. Over all the packaging is quite user friendly and attractive.

Coming to my shade, “Pink Mist No 53”, it seems to be a shimmery pink lip gloss in the packaging while it comes quite clear on my lips. Surprisingly it looked so pigmented and shimmery on the website & even in swatches, but in real it appears to be a clear shimmery gloss. It does give a sheer pinkish glossy finish on lips even with multiple swipes, hence not recommended to beauties with pigmented lips. I feel it can be easily sported by every skin tone since it hardly imparts any prominent color; it just leaving a subtle, shimmery shine on lips.

But it is certainly perfect to be used as top coat for any boring lip color. I have been paring it with my lip stains lately to jazz up wintery, festive looks and it sure brings the best out of any shade with its soft, pink and shimmery finish. And like always, I am fan of their non-sticky texture & formula which is hydrating & forgiving enough for my normal dry lips. It does not feather or settle into the lip lines nor does it ever sit on top of my dry patches; it just comfortably sits on my lips giving them fuller and plumped look.

I agree that it is a bummer for people expecting buildable color payoff from this range. The staying power of this clear gloss is not impressive as it starts to fade within 4-5 hours leaving behind soft supple lips. It does not leave any shimmery trace behind thankfully. Yes gals, probably this is the difference between luxury and utility that even the shimmery glosses do not leave any trace of shimmer on skin. Wow! Over all I am definitely impressed with the formula, finish of these glosses but I am not convinced to get this sheer finish gloss again. If you are into sheer glosses, then you might like it else you won’t regret skipping it.

Pros of Burberry Pink Mist No. 53 Kisses Gloss:

• A sheer finish, shimmery lip gloss which imparts a subtle pink sheen on lips
• It is hydrating and soft on lips even with those shimmers
• It works great as a top coat on any lip color or stain since it’s nearly sheer
• It comfortably sits on our normal dry lips without accentuating dryness
• It neither settles into the lip lines nor does it ever bleed
• The shimmers add a nice glow without looking OTT
• It stays put for good 4-5 hours thereby fading off completely leaving no shimmery trace behind
• Quite attractive, user friendly packaging

Cons of Burberry Pink Mist No. 53 Kisses Gloss:

• It is more sheer than I had expected
• Tricky for pigmented lips
• Staying power could have been better
• Needs to be handled with care
• Pricey
