Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Nourishing Baby Oil- Review

I am a huge fan of IMBB. I came across IMBB a couple of months ago and have been hooked on ever since. Here come my first reveiw, hope you like it.

Burts bees baby oil

I am sure Burt’s Bees brand doesn’t need any introduction as there have been several reviews of their products here. My recent purchase was their Baby-Bee Nourishing Baby Oil. If you have dry skin like me, you might find this review helpful.

The product comes in a clear plastic bottle.  I like this because you can see how much of the product still remains. The bottle is pretty compact (a little less than 5 inches tall) and travel-friendly. It won’t take much space in diaper-bags or travel-bags.

pack

Price:

$9 for 4 fl oz (118 ml)

Ingredients list:

ŸApricot kernel oil, Ÿ Grape seed oil , ŸWheat germ oil, Ÿfragrance ,ŸSunflower seed oil, ŸRosemary leaf extract, ŸTocopherol,   ŸSoybean, oil Ÿbeta-carotene, ŸCanola oil ,Ÿlimonene.

I have been using Burt’s Bees products for about four years (Lip balms, Face & Body moisturizers, Sunscreen etc.) Hence without second thoughts, I picked up their Baby Oil.  After using this baby oil on my baby for a couple of days, I was very happy with this product and my baby had no complaints. I noticed how quickly this oil gets absorbed into the skin and I decided to give it a try too.

My experience with Baby-Bee Nourishing Baby Oil:

I like the fragrance of this oil. I find it very pleasant. It reminds me of a mixture of vanilla and fruity smell. (Wish they would mention what fragrance they have used, in their ingredients list.)

application

The oil gets absorbed into the skin within a few minutes, leaving the skin soft and smelling nice. I apply it all over my body as soon as I step out of the shower.  Since the skin is moist, I use only a small amount of the product. My skin instantly feels soft. The baby oil does not feel heavy on the skin.  I can still smell the fragrance after a couple of hours. I have been using it for two weeks now and I am loving it. This baby oil does what it claims to do. “Gently moisturize and comfort baby’s delicate skin”.  I would like to add that it does the job for a big baby’s skin too 🙂

My skin tends to get very dry from the constant exposure to A/c in the summer months and the heating in the winter months. And using this baby oil seems to help my skin. However, I also have to use hand creams because of constant hand washing throughout the day. But for the rest of my body, this baby oil is perfect! I think I am going to skip on the other body moisturizing lotions this winter.

Pros of Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Nourishing Baby Oil:

  • 100 % Natural ingredients.
  • No Sulfates, Parabens and petrochemicals.
  • Softens and moisturizes dry skin.
  • Compact size.
  • No animal testing.
  • Comes in a 80% post-consumer content packaging.

Cons of Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Nourishing Baby Oil:

  • Non-availability in India.
  • A bit pricey.

IMBB Rating:

5/5

  1. I have 2 unopened bottles of the other similar oil from Burts Bee…picked up seeing the 100% natural mentioned on their site and the gud reviews…

    Nice review desimom! 🙂

  2. Nice review neha! I have never used burt bees, though read everywhere about it! I wud certainly love to use burt bees face washes, face masks n creams next time. But pls tell me if dis product is okay for 6 month oldies? I wud love to switch over burt bee’s if its gud for infants??

    1. Yes neetu, burts bees baby bee range can be used from birth. have been using the range for my baby since birth.I dont see myself switching to anything else anytime soon. love it.

  3. Thnx Neetu 🙂 ( I wrote the review 😉 )

Burts Bees dont indicate whether the baby oil should be avoided for infants. So I guess it should be okay to use for infants. It is a baby oil after all.
Use on a small area first & if your baby has no complaints, then you can use it regularly. If you are still in doubt, just wait till your baby is an year old & then use.
