Burt’s Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion Review

Burt’s Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion Review

Hiya,

I haven’t been taking good care of my feet lately and I can see the effects of it. My feet have become dry and even a bit chapped lately. We have planned a cruise vacation and will be travelling in 2 months time. Now, that is a good motivation factor for me as I would love to flaunt my feet in sandals and as I would be cruising to some pacific islands, I have to take more care of my whole body actually, as I will be wearing swimmers (Tankinis ) most of the time.

Back to the review, this time, it is Burt’s Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion.  I have used a couple of products other than lip balms from Burt’s Bees and this is one of them. I got this one and a couple of others in a gift set (gift to myself) and that explains the small size of the product. I love that Burt’s Bees have almost all their products available in travel size also. This makes it so easy to try before buying.  Burt’s Bees is not a cheap brand, especially in Australia, so I would love to try a sample before committing to the full-sized product.

Product Description and Claims:

Do your feet need a treat? This super creamy lotion provides a triple treat against dry, overworked feet. A botanical blend of oils and extracts made from witch hazel, tea tree, parsley, rosemary and sodium bicarbonate help to neutralise mild foot odour. Peppermint oil and menthol invigorate tired, overworked feet while sunflower, wheat germ and coconut oils nourish and moisturise rough, calloused feet and heels. The final benefit – beeswax seals in the goodness for a complete pampered experience.

My Experience with Burt’s Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion:

I have been using quite a few products from this brand from the past 3-4 years, even though I haven’t reviewed many of them. Most of them were in travel size as I wanted to try before buying the full size as they are quite expensive. I love Burt’s Bees because unlike other brands they have almost all their products available in travel size.

Burt's Bees Foot Cream 2

Back to the product, it comes in a small tube and the travel version I have looks like a toothpaste tube. The consistency is quite thick and creamy like, so I don’t know why it’s called a lotion. Smells of peppermint and spread easily. Compared to other foot creams I have used in the past, this absorbs quickly. The peppermint makes my feet tingle and makes my feet refreshed after a tired day at work. I however feel it is far too refreshing to be used just before bedtime because the smell doesn’t calm me, but makes me stay awake as the smell is overpowering. I like to use this in the morning and can wear footwear after a couple of minutes as it does not make my feet sticky. This moisturises my skin effectively in summer; however, it would not have enough moisturising effect during winter.

Burt's Bees Foot Cream 4

Overall, this is quite a good foot lotion; however, there are better and competitively priced foot lotions/creams out there.

Pros of Burt’s Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion:

  • Contains peppermint extract to refresh tired feet.
  • The sunflower, coconut, wheat germ as well as peppermint oil moisturises skin.
  • Helps neutralise the foot odour.
  • Can try the travel size before buying the full size.

Cons of Burt’s Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion:

  • Does not moisturise enough during winters and not suitable for very dry skin.
  • Peppermint smell might be too overpowering for some and is not suitable for night time use.
  • Pricey as same quality/better products are available at the same price.

IMBB Rating:

3/5.
