Burt’s Bees Renewal Intensive Firming Serum is the second serum that I tried after BB’s Radiance Serum. Both are class apart though catering towards providing similar anti-aging benefits to the skin.

Burt’s Bees Renewal Intensive Firming Serum Packaging:
The serum comes in an opaque white plastic bottle with a dropper, which has a slight curve at the tip. The serum is white in color and has a watery consistency.  I did not like the serum’s fragrance as it had a mild chemical aroma to it. Since the serum contained hibiscus and apple extracts, I was expecting a floral soothing fragrance. This serum is part of the Renewal Face care line of BB.

My Experience with Burt’s Bees Renewal Intensive Firming Serum:

As it is a serum, I usually take only 3-4 drops to apply it all over my face. As the serum is very lightweight, it gets immediately absorbed in the skin. For most of the serums that I have used till date, they hardly leave any sheen on my facial skin. However, my experience with this serum was different as my skin looked very shiny after applying the serum.

Any cream that I applied on top of the serum made my super dry skin look oily. I finally found use for my Shahnaaz Hussain’s Shataj, which had been giving my face a matte look. When I used the cream on top of this serum, my face looked less shiny.

I was very excited to try this serum as it contains hibiscus extracts and apple rejuvenating complex. However, the results have been less than impressive. While I really liked using BB’s Radiance serum, I have not been finding significant benefits with the renewal serum. I did not find any breakouts on my skin, but neither did I notice any improvement in skin tone or texture or firmness.

I have been using this serum both during the daytime and nighttime routine from the past few weeks. I am yet to notice any anti-aging benefits for which I got this serum. The only thing, which made me happy about this serum, was that it is 98.9% organic. The fragrance of the serum is another issue as it is not very pleasant. It does fade away once the serum gets absorbed. Overall, I am not happy with the performance of this serum as it did not fare as well as BB’s Radiance Serum.

Pros of Burt’s Bees Renewal Intensive Firming Serum:

• Lightweight serum, which gets immediately absorbed on application.
• The serum contains 98.9% natural products.
• No parabens, phthalates or SLS.

Cons of Burt’s Bees Renewal Intensive Firming Serum:

• Fragrance is not pleasant (but fades away after application).
• Once the serum is absorbed, it imparts an unpleasant sheen to the skin.
• Did not observe any improvement in skin tone or texture.
• Did not provide any anti-aging benefits even though it contains hibiscus and apple extracts.
• Did not notice any moisturizing benefits as claimed by the serum.

Would I Repurchase Burt’s Bees Renewal Intensive Firming Serum?
I was very excited to try this serum, especially after BB’s Radiance serum success. I would not buy this product as it did not make any difference to my skin :’(
