Burt’s Bees Rhubarb Lip Shimmer Review

I guess the one and only beauty concern I have is dark lips and pigmentation around it. It’s not very obvious and with time it has reduced, but it is still present to the point that I do get embarrassed because of it. The problem area is further accentuated if I wear lip color or even a simple lip balm. But, I can’t do without lip balms either (I have super dry and flaky lips). So, in a nut shell, every day I struggle with this vicious cycle of dry lips and pigmentation. With time I have became very cautious of what I apply on my lips; since, Burt’s Bees products are all natural, organic and also allegedly do what they claim I bought a couple of skin care and products. So, below is my experience with one of them.

My Experience with Burt’s Bees Rhubarb Lip Shimmer:

On the first encounter, the physical appearance of the product will discourage one to buy it because it is a super skinny stick for almost $5 and hence appears expensive. However, when one over comes the usual dilemma of weather to buy a product or not; which, let’s be honest, we all face in the makeup aisles; one buys this puny lip shimmer.

Fortunately, one does not have to crib for long about the money spent because lo behold it is an amazing product. The word pepper mint in the list of ingredients is not just another ingredient added as a mere embellishment; it is actually present and has a nice tingly and cooling effect for few seconds.

Moving on, the moisture content is satisfactory and lips stay hydrated, at least for few hours, after which I tend to apply a fresh coat on my lips. The pigmentation is also note worthy and imparts an obvious hue with mild shimmer. There are nearly 14 shades to choose from and they vary from champagne to dark plum shades, which cater to whatever shade one desires or is in mood to wear.

All in all it is a good product. Although it might be a little expensive, but it does not disappoint at all and I encourage others to give it a try.

• Expensive for money paid.

Would I repurchase Burt’s Bees Rhubarb Lip Shimmer?

Oh yes, and will try out other shades as well. Please don’t over look the product when you see it in the aisle next time. Go ahead and buy it, it’s totally worth it.
