My Experience with Burt’s Bees Sensitive Facial Cleanser:
I have combination skin and I like to use mild exfoliating cleanser once everyday. For the other time, I use a mild foaming cleanser or cream cleanser depending on if or not I have makeup on. Burt’s Bees Sensitive Facial Cleanser is the current cream cleanser that I am using.
This product comes in a white tube like all other Burt’s bees cream cleansers. It sells for $10 for 170g. The tube is pretty big and I think it is a good amount of product for the price.
It is a white creamy product and has thick texture to it. It does not have any fragrance to it, which is a big pro for sensitive skin. I take a big pearl size product and apply it all over the face.
It spread so easily on face. I massage it for a bit with my finger before washing it off. On days when I do not have much makeup on, I just wash it off with warm water. It washes off pretty easily for being a cream cleanser. And it doesn’t make skin feeling slippery at all, which is surprisingly a good feature for cream cleanser.
On days when I have makeup on, I massage this cleanser on my face and use a cotton pad to wipe it off and then splash warm water. That way it removes makeup better. For being so called natural product, I would expect my cleanser to be usable around my eyes as well. But the instruction on tube says not to use around eyes. I had used it around eyes and it is not so good at removing eye makeup anyways. But it hasn’t irritated the skin around eyes tough. I generally choose to use this cleanser when I do not have much makeup on.
After washing and drying my face feels comfortable and do not find the urge to apply moisturizer immediately. I have used this cleanser for months along with my other cleansers and it had not caused any irritation or breakouts. Though I had used it on and off throughout summer, I see myself reaching for this cleanser more during winter when my skin tends to get drier.
Overall, this cleanser has been doing a decent job for me. Wish it could have removed makeup better.
