Did you miss me? 🙂 Anyway, I am back again with another gorgeous red from my stash which is lip smacking hot color from Buxom Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick series. As I told earlier, I came across few hits and misses from this brand and this particular red shade seems super hit to me and I am quite determined to get it again. My Experience with Buxom Burning Desire Big and Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick:

As we all know now, all satin shades are enclosed within a magnetic, shiny, black bullet packaging while all matte shades are housed in matte black bullet packaging. They do appear bigger than usual round lipsticks, but practice brings perfection like always. Over all, I find it quite convenient and travel friendly.

Coming over to this shade,Burning Desire, is a (shimmer free) satin blue red which is true to its description. It comes up as a hot, blue based red on my pale skin and I am very sure it will work best for all pale, light, fair and even medium skin toned beauties with pink or neutral undertones. I also adore its nearly translucent yet intensely pigmented color payoff which does not appear cakey or bleed from my lips even with multiple swipes. Yes gals, it gives a perfect gel lipstick finish on lips with one or multiple swipes depending upon our desired coverage. I like how it gives that glossy red pigmentation to my lips which looks good on its own with no lip liner and/or gloss.

It will definitely conceal minor pigmentation with 1-2 swipes while beauties with deeply pigmented lips might need 2-3 swipes, or it is best to use a lip pencil beneath the shade to increase the longevity of the shade. This will also help in achieving full coverage. I find it very lightweight and soothing on my lips even though it does not provide any extra hydration to my lips. But, it does not rip off moisture either. I feel soft, hydrated lips as long as the shade stays on my lips with no need of using a lip balm beneath or even after removing it off my lips. This explains its utility for even dry lips.

I see that it stays for good 6-8 hours on its own while it fades off after one heavy meal which might need touch ups or reapplication, but it’s fine. It does transfers to cutlery though it still manages to stay put for decent hours. Over all, this is certainly another gem in my stash owing to its perfect, flawless finish, its gorgeous shade and lightweight color payoff. I will definitely recommend this to every beauty. I might get it again as I find myself wearing it more often these days.

Pros of Buxom Burning Desire Big and Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick:

• A shimmer free, blue based red lipstick with lightweight, translucent, gel finish
• It gives medium to full coverage with just 1-2 swipes concealing minor pigmentation and flaws
• It is suitable even for deeply pigmented lips as it can be layered on for desired coverage with no bleeding and/or cakey look
• It does not settle into lip lines and/or sit on top of our lip patches
• It gives even finish with intense pigmentation that stays put for good 6-8 hours with light snacks and tea break
• It is not a hydrating lipstick, but then it does not dry out my lips either
• I feel soft, hydrated lips for decent hours even after removing it off
• Quite convenient, attractive and travel friendly packaging

Cons of Buxom Burning Desire Big and Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick:

• It does transfer

Well, other than few minor concerns, I don’t see any major concerns either with the shade or with this lipstick. It is overall nearly perfect in every sense, be it the packaging, the shade or the texture. I might get it again, as I said earlier.
