My (or my brother’s) experience with Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme Marine:

“I love this scent. It’s fresh, clean and sophisticated!” these were the first words my brother said when asked about this product. And I agree with him, this does smell so fresh because of the aquatic notes present in it. I see men of all ages wearing it. It has a fresh woody fragrance, which one can spritz any time of the day.

Bvlgari Aqva opens with a blast of strong and tangy aromas of grapefruit coupled with floral aromas of neroli — a welcome change from the usual bergamot opening one gets in many mainstream men’s fragrances. Within minutes, the citrus notes fade away with aquatic notes coming to fore. The aquatic smell that it talks about is actually from Posidonia, an aquatic plant that grows profusely in Mediterranean and Australian waters. Aqva Pour Homme has an aquatic character, but it does not smell like ocean water. The base note finishes off the lovely fragrance with traces of distinct and spicy cedarwood.

This beguiling scent comes in a lovely glass flacon that flaunts an exaggerated shape of a water bubble. Through the glass, the lovely sea green shade of the scent sparkles through, reminiscent of the gentle ocean waves. Its longevity is average. It lasts for upto 5 hours on skin. So one may have to go for re-application but otherwise it is perfect for everyday use.

In all, the opening of grapefruit and neroli is quite a refreshing experience! After that the watery elements with seaweed and rosemary kick in which makes the smell more mature in my opinion.

Pros of Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme Marine:

• Nice fresh aquatic smell.
• Cute bottle.
• Perfect for everyday use.
• Easily available.

Cons of Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme Marine:

• Staying power is not that good.
