Today I will be reviewing a lovely fragrance-The Pour Femme EDP by Bvalgari.

About the Brand: Essentially Bulgari is an Italian jewellery and luxury goods brand. Bulgari Parfums brings excellence and savoir-faire of its unique jewellery heritage into Fragrances. Bulgari Parfums’ vision is to unite talented designers and creators with prestigious perfumers. Each Bulgari fragrance is an expression of luxury-capturing the brand’s refinement and elegance.

Price: INR 5799 for 100 ml.

Notes of the Perfume:

Bvlgari Pour Femme is a feminine classic which will adorn you just like precious jewellery. The delicate floral bouquet opens with bergamot, violet leaves and orange blossom. In the heart dwells luminous jasmine Sambac picked at dawn, when its scent is romantically soft. Jasmine is followed by sensual mimosa and always feminine rose. The base unites powdery coldish iris, musk and sandal wood. The fragrance was created in 1994. In 2006 it was re-launched in a new and more luxuriant design. The face of the fragrance is Kate Moss.

My take on Bvlgari Pour Femme EDP:

Bvalgari Pour Femme is a lovely floral fragrance. I got it as a gift from my mother last year. Initially I was skeptical of the strong fragrance…but over a period of time it has grown on me and I have since fallen in love with it.

The perfume is inordinately elegant .It has a whiff of freshness with an underlying strength. I can mostly smell the jasmine and the citrusy orange blossom, both of which are strong fresh notes. The Parfum gives a very breezy summery feel- opening up on a sharp flowery note and settling into a powdery, musky scent which is very comforting.

Being a ‘parfum’ it obviously has a long staying power, but somehow, of all the perfumes I own, this one seems to last the longest. I feel it can be used either at day or night. I prefer it more as a heavy-duty daytime perfume due to its long staying power (easily 10 hours). Lovely as it is, however a word of caution-It is really very easy to overdo it. I wouldn’t suggest using more than 4 pumps over all. The fragrance has a tendency of becoming over powering, if used too much (and might even give you a headache). Also it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. But once you learn to appreciate it..There is no looking back!

All in all I would say it’s an elegant, luxurious fragrance that adds that extra bit of zaa-za-zoo to your ensemble and personality.

• Beautiful bottle 😛

Cons of Bvlgari Pour Femme EDP:

• Can easily become overpowering if used too much
• Expensive

I feel a perfume is an investment in you which must be soundly researched. It always counts to understand the notes of the perfume, and try it on for a bit to see how it suits your body chemistry. Only then should one take the plunge 😉
